Howie called the dog pound today and no one has called to report a male beagle missing. Nothing in the current paper or radio stations' ads, either. :)

He's a good little dog - he woke me up this morning with a cold nose next to my ear, telling me in no uncertain terms that he needed out. Whew!

Howie wanted to call him Jubal, after the Louis L'Amour character. But that doesn't roll off the tongue, so we're just sticking with Buddy since he seems to respond to that somewhat (as much as any Beagle responds, LOL). He and Emma have become inseparable in the last day - you wouldn't believe it. They curl up and sleep together, play together, follow each other around...And Buddy, though neutered, has given things a go, though fruitlessly. He can reach her head easier than her back end, though, so it's kinda comical. *blush*
