Feeling like a complete idiot here

I search for postings under a certain members name - I get one page, and know I am just THIS close to the one I want - how do I keep going back? (Hiding her head in shame)

I sit here with you til someone answers cause I've wondered the same thing!

I don't know if this helps or not, but when you put a DG name into DG search, you will bring up another page, and if you click on their name under the Member catagory, you should be able to read their journal, see their trade lists and see what threads they've started. Is this what you are talking about?

I did that and got one page - I wanted to hyperlink something from February - is there a cut off point? How do I get to the older stuff??

don't know about looking up a 'threads this member has started', but if you go back one page, look at the addy bar, and it has a number at the end, like 20. well, depending on how busy the forum is, and how long ago it was, I might put in 200 and see what dates come up. does that help any? do you know what forum it would be?

I don't think Dave has archived any of the older stuff. When you click on a member's name and then click on "threads [member name] has started, you'll get a page where you can select a specific forum that you want to drill down into, or allow it to default to show all forums.

So if you know which forum, I'd go that route.

Now, if you're looking for a member's POSTINGS (not necessarily threads they've started, but all posts they've made to threads), that's a little more difficult. The best search tip I can give you is IF you remember ANYTHING about the thread title, you can try a search using the member's name and that phrase or word.

I stand corrected. Although I think I was using (mis-using?) the term archived. What I meant was that nothing has been removed from "active status" :)
