Dave, would it be possible to put on each contest page the ending date for submitting pictures? I know mg is September, I assume the end of September. But I didn't even know these others were going on, so have no idea about ending time. Thanks.

I'd like a Lily contest... I have no MG's and not many photos for the other contest :P
Do the plants in the photos have to be your own?

Evert....if you entered a picture of a flower that was not your own...shouldn't that go in a photo contest? I could get one of Martha Stewarts nice flower pictures and enter it!! Jo

Evert,

The plant (or landscape) that you submit should be your own. It is not the quality of the picture that is being judged, it is the plant itself.

For example, many people caught the "Brug Bug" last year after the Brug contest. I'm sure that the DG membership at large would have been VERY dissapointed if they found out the winners didn't actually own the brugs that won. Then, there would be no chance of seeds, or cuttings to trade. The idea is to show off your own plants.

OK, I was not posting any photos of some other plants were just asking.. anyway, I already posted one of a wild morning glory that grew in Hungary. :/
