I've noticed that many of the "my favorite website" links on member pages route us right back to the member page rather than to the website. Here's an example. On Psilo's member page at http://davesgarden.com/members/psilo , she lists web pages. I've removed the http:// so you can see how they're entered:
davesgarden.com/members/BOLTON,%20GREATER%20MANCHESTER
davesgarden.com/members/WWW.HARDY%20GERANIUMS.COM
davesgarden.com/members/WWW.MARKSGARDENPLANTS.COM
The way they're in, they just redirect us back to the member page again. Is this because of how the user entered the info, or was the URL somehow prefixed by the DG member page URL? Bug or user error?
I've seen this same thing with the member pages of MikePiper...Only on his, they now point to a page which makes it look like the URL is the DG member:
http://davesgarden.com/members/www.webshots.com
P.S. Actually, they all appear to be redirecting to a new "member page" for the URL now.

Favorite Web Sites Problem
I thought they may have been entered in wrong .... rather than using the whole url of the page, starting with http_____ ....they entered it as www. _____
Let's do an experiment...I'll enter my third favorite website a bit differently and see how it comes up...Hold on, here I go!
Entering www.ebay.com resulted in the URL being displayed as http: // davesgarden.com/members/gardenwife/www.ebay.com
However, entering the entire URL as http: // www.ebay.com produces the desired result: a direct link to eBay.
There's the problem...Now is there a way to retroactively fix it for those who left out the http: // from the URL's?

Actually, I have noticed that also.
Dave? What do you think? Would a note to be sure to include the http: // at the beginning of any URL entered be enough? That wouldn't solve it for the rest who have already entered theirs as just plain www., though.
I may be able to do something... Not today, though, but likely eventually I will make this fixed for those who incorrectly enter the URL.
Cool - thanks! Well, guess I'd better unplug here. We're expecting 3" of rain in the next hour, they said, and rain all night. There's lightening right now --- SEE YA! :)
