I'm sooo happy, my 10yr old half sister, Katherine has been selected to her leagues all star team, and tonight they just won the play off game!!!! The championship game is on monday, last year they lost but hopefully this is their year to win. I'm very happy for her because she just eats and sleeps softball. She's becoming a great athlete and loves every minute of it.
Just had to brag a little :)

Becky, it's a lot of fun watching the kids play. i never liked BB til my kids started playing. DD and DS are both pitchers. DS didn't play allstars this year, killed the coaches. he's working at a goat farm/hay field, football conditioning 4 days a week. i wish he had, it's kinda fun. if DD had taken it seriously, she could have been a super pitcher i think, she does okay considering she never practices or plays, outside of high school. it's that boy thing at age 17.

Thanks Arlene, I am feeling alot better, its great to get out of the house finally. I did have to miss a couple of Kat's games but she understood. She usually alternates between pitching and short-stop, but because of fairness of rotation, sometimes she ends up elsewhere but it really doesn't bother her as long as she's playing!!!

well, she is certainly an athlete to be playing those 2 positions. my DD prefers to play outfield, but she was the best pitcher they had so that's where they put her.
