Dave I can't upload images!

I have been trying to upload images to my journal last night and this morning and it's not working. Is anyone else having trouble.

Can you describe exactly the steps you are taking, and where the problem (if any problems are actually shown) occurs?

I was getting errors last night after several min. Network error occured. Today nothing. Just acts like it's working but nothing happens. 5 min and still nothing.

How big is the picture that you are trying to upload? It may be that you connection is timing out. Hmmm. It must be a very big picture and/or your dialup connection is very slow. I think I can help with this, but at the same time you may want to decrease the photo size.

The box is setup to allow you 60 seconds from the time you click on submit until the time the image arrives. If the image is too big, and takes longer than 60 seconds to upload, it will time out.

I just now doubled the timeout to 120, so maybe now it'll work. 2 minutes should be long enough to get a picture uploaded. Let me know how it goes.

That may be the trouble. I have never had trouble before. The image I am trying now is 47K and the largest was 110K what is the ideal size.

I was using Internet Explorer that time but was using Netscape earlier. It could be my connection I live in a rural area and my dial up connector is not that great :0(

OK that time It worked. RID 17621 is the one I was working on.

Working super fast now too! Are my images too big should I try to reduce them in size.

Good. Slow connections will have trouble with uploading big pictures. I wish there was a easy solution to that, but dialups and large pictures weren't really made for each other. :( Nevertheless, I'm glad we have a small solution in the meantime.

Thanks Dave, unfortunately dial up is all that is available in these woods at the moment. Hope I didn't cause you too much trouble.

Ain't it the truth, Cajunace? I did get to veiw my son on his web cam yesterday tho, if even for a fleeting moment.
