The daily DG newsletter?

Dave, I haven't gotten the daily newsletter since 4/17 (for 4/18).....I thought maybe I had accidentally unchecked it on my preferences page when I was in there snooping around, but the box is still checked.

Wow that was odd. Well, I'll spare you the details and say I've fixed it!! Lots of members haven't been getting it, apparantly, since we moved to the new server.

They should be surprised to see it arrive tomorrow morning. Vols: Please let me know whether or not you get it in the morning.

Dave, the newsletters have been only coming in every second day to me. Strange?

Okay you should start receiving it more regularly. I had a big messup with our server change and had to change some mail settings.

Today I corrected a problem that I think will fix this. If you don't start receiving it regularly starting tomorrow, please do let me know.

E-mail is such a picky thing. Some servers out there are getting really cranky at my server, and aren't accepting mail from me. :-(

I made another change this morning that may fix it. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Well, it's happened again - I was missing it, but I've been busy, so I figured it was me, losing it in the daily onslaught of e-mail (and I obviously know how to find this place, with or without the newsletter ;0)

When I went back and checked, I haven't gotten the daily newsletter since 5/26.

I was getting them, but now I'm not. I miss the Quote of the Day - even the nasty one about veggies!

Glad that it made it. Last night I made another change. It turns out that the newsletter was being mailed out at the same time that I was doing the nightly backup, which usually brings the system to a crawl.

So, I told it to wait till after the backup was finished, then send out the newsletter.

Next step is to re-write the newsletter in perl instead of PHP, so it won't time out after 6 minutes.

Well, for the first time ever, today I didn't get a newsletter either. That's odd, and it makes me think the newsletter didn't even run.

Well, it's been on my TODO long enough, I need to re-write this thing and fix the problems. Everyone should get the newsletter tonight - let me know.

Will do, Dave. I usually get it around 11:40 when it does come in the evening so will let you know first thing in the morning. Usually in bed at that time here.
