Message from Lophophora

I sent Lophophora (see http://davesgarden.com/members/Lophophora/ ) an e-mail thanking him for his contributions to the plants database, and asked if he'd thought of joining DG, that he'd really be an assett to the community.

Here's part of his reply - I'm sending it on because he really wanted you all to know how much he appreciates the work that's been done here.

As for the forums - well, I'd love to join y'all, but sheer
pig-headedness prevents me from paying for anything on the
internet except my ip. I am an irregular contributor to the
usenet groups though: rec.gardens, rec.gardens.cacti, and
rec.gardens.orchids. Maybe I'll see you there!

Do me a favor please - say hi to everybody there for me, and
tell them that I really appreciate everyone's effort to create a professional looking plant database on the net. The pictures at Dave's Garden have been extremely helpful to me in a number of ways - and by posting, I'm trying to pay everyone back.

Hmmmm.....he sounds like an asset to me.

There are a few excellent PDB contributers who aren't subscribed. It's good to know they are out there enjoying the PDB as much as we do.

I agree! A whole lot of other non-subscribers who get a lot of use from the Garden Watchdog too!

I just noticed today that he's posting - He subscribed! ":-)

Cooooooooooooool! I'm off to find one of his posts so I can welcome him...

A "wonderful asset", heh? If I weren't twenty pounds overweight I'd consider that a compliment, but seein' how m' chair sags.... How dare y'all say that??!!!!!!

Looking forward to being even more of an "asset" to DG in the future, provided the weather holds and my summer bloomers stick to schedule. (And my digicam's batteries don't die down...)
