Is the mouseover new?

I am using IE today instead of my usual and preferred NS browser. I noticed that when I am about to click on a thread, it glows red. Is this new, or have I been just unaware of it? Or is it something NS didn't do even though it was there?

Hi Aimee. That feature, called "a.hover", has been around for many, many months. IE 5 and better, as well as Netscape 6 and better, support the hover. It's cool, isn't it? :)

Today is the first time I have noticed it. Thanks for the terminology, and I agree, it's really neat. Sort of looks like a neon sign goes on when I "hover". Maybe it didn't show up because I used NS 4.7. Now I wonder what else I have missed.

You're probably not missing too much else. I have tried to make the site very browser friendly, so I'm not taking advantage of any Netscape 6 or IE only features. It's pretty much standard, vanilla html. The real magic occured on the backend, server side. :)
