photo link broken/newsletter

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Dave, I clicked on the crepe myrtle pic in the newspaper today (7-2) and it doesn't work. I looked in the PDB forum for the posting and can't find it.
Anyway, it's a gorgeous picture!!!! would love to see it bigger.

Hey, tiG - here it is: http://plantsdatabase.com/go/1/

But I don't know why the link is broken - that's for Dave to figure out :)

Awww, you're a sweetie, and you're very welcome! (I knew where to look, because I've admired that photo myself :)

Speaking of that pic, OMG it's huge!! What's the diameter of that trunk, Dave? And where is it growing?!

Wintnut: That tree is growing in North Atlanta (Duluth/Cumming area) and it about 50 feet tall. White flowers. It's actually at a nursery/greenhouse business on Medlock Road.

How thick is it? About like a telephone pole.

WOW! And I thought my mom's 30 year old, 20-or-more feet tall ones were big! Thanks.

It's definitely an impressive tree. Next time I'm in that neighborhood, I'll snap a shot of the whole thing from a good distance. It's an impressive site when it is in full bloom!

Oh, please do! I'd dearly love to see it. I've got this thread bookmarked in my "Places to see next time we travel" folder.
