This is probably a very stupid question, but..
When I write a message, and look at the Preview, and then change it, do I need to Preview it again or can I just Send it after changing it?
And - why do some of the Forums have a choice of Preview and Send to start with, and some have just Preview?
Preview & Post
Mary, I had the same question when I started posting here. No, you don't need to re-preview it (if that's the correct term) if you make changes, but you can if you want to.
I think the difference is, if you post a new thread, it forces you to preview it first (not a bad idea), but if you add to someone else's thread, you can choose to just send it, or preview it if you want to.
Hope that helps! And if my guesses are wrong, I bet Dave can/will set us straight....
Thanks. Glad one of us is paying attention!
go_vols is right on the money. I force a preview on new threads because, as the first post in a potentially new conversation, that post sets the tone for the conversation that will follow.
The most important post in any thread is the first one, usually. It's a good idea to make people think twice about what they are writing, and make changes as appropriate. The "Preview" gives you a better chance to re-read it and make sure that it represents nicely what you wanted to say, and that the message is conducive to lots of conversation.
