Database on Insects?

Many of us face problems from various insects in the garden. Is there a way of listing the pictures of them in a separate database which would help other gardeners identify what is what, at least?

That's a cool idea! I think this was bantered about before ~ what was the outcome? I didn't follow it that far. Weeds were mentioned, too. I know it would be hard to classify a plant as a weed all over the world, but a bug is a bug is a bug not matter where it lives. And maybe diseases/funguses/things like that?

I would love to see something like this. I haven't been able to find many websites with pictures of bugs. Texas A&M has made a start, but it's pretty limited. http://insects.tamu.edu

If members can post pictures of the insects they come across in their own gardens would be of great help. A picture is equal to a thousand words. It could be a separate little database where we can identify them straightaway.
I don't think there is any such thing elsewhere.
