SoCals Pregnant Daughter

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

This is a picture of my daughter Dina just 2 weeks ago and she is even bigger than this now. She is due on July 7th.
I'm sorry that her eyes are closed, but I tried to surprise her and she blinked. lol

BTW, she is only 4'11" tall and almost that around her belly.....lol

oh the woes of being pregnant in the summer!! yes, he looks 'cooked' LOL!!! give her our love. I'll bet her mom is as pretty as she is!

Looks like she is ripe. I was a 4'11" mommy many years ago, and often in the summer. Didn't have ac then, and I wonder how we survived. But when the bundle arrives, it's such a magic time, you know it was worth it. Take it easy, Dina, it won't be long now.

Bless her heart! Does she know if she's having a girl or a boy?

Thank you all for the kind words...tiG, she looks just like her daddy, I can't believe I gave birth to her. lol

Kim, she is going to have a boy, his name will be Dylan.

Aimee, she is so glad that she isn't going through the hottest part of the summer with her pregnancy, as she is hot all the time. She came down with a cold 2 days ago and is now trying to suffer through that with no medication (because of her Pregnancy).

She is still working (for Monster.com)as long as she can, but her boss has given her some relaxing time when she needs it. So she called me this morning and we spent the day together. I watched her belly do the "wave" several times and really got a kick out of it. That kid wants out NOW, but her body isn't ready yet. Can you tell that I am also getting anxious??? My DH and I are so excited as this is the first grandchild. She has invited me into the delivery room, but has stipulations to go with it. I am not to show any scary emotions or feel sorry for her pain...if I can't handle that part, I am to leave the room. I hope I can keep a strong face and stomach for her.

Donna, you can do it!! I was so afraid my daughter would throw me out for the same reasons, so I stayed in a corner, and never got in her line of vision!! LOL!!

SoCal, I was Lamaze coach for my daughter when Granddarling was born, and even though I had borne 7, and she was the 8th grand, it was the most profound and precious experience of my life. You just remember that birth is normal, she is in good, experienced hands, and every safeguard has already been put into place by the time she reaches delivery. If you must, take a Valium, or whatever they give nowadays for nerves, but don't miss this. Granddarling was turned to see me first when she emerged, and I immediately greeted her by name and smiled at her. I'm sure she could see the love spilling out of my eyes, and I will forever treasure that instant we shared. We enjoy a closeness unlike anything else I have known.

Oh Aimee, you gave me lots of goosepimples with your story. I can't wait to do the same thing. Even my eyes are misting for the joy you had and that I hope to have also, when I see him emerge for the first time.

tiG, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to handle it, just kind of scared that DD will throw me out if I show any type of fear. She is very adament about this, as she can have Panic attacks very easily and I can spark one off with my look. lol

Thanks for all the advice, I'll let ya know how I do in there when the time comes.

Patience, ladies, we must assume the baby is in his grandmother's arms and she doesn't have time for us.
