Who Saw the Big Red Moon lastnight

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

I heard on the 10 o'clock news that the moon was red last night and sure enough I went outside and it was a big red ball of fire. It is supposed to be that way again here tonight. They say the reason is polution and the extreme heat with humidity we have been having. I took a picture and will take another tonight, then post. Go have a look outside all tonight!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh, it wasn't like that here. I was out about midnight or 1 and it was white. wonder if it was only at a certain time or only in certain places. ? wish I'd seen it and will check it out tonight for sure.

Not sure tig, I was watching channel 5 news when I heard it and thought they were crazy, but sure enough there it was and you could even make out the man in the moon face. I'll post the pic from last night when I get home this eve.

I saw it haighr...about 9:30 I looked out and could see it through the trees. I decided to go look a while later and couldn't see it. I didn't think it was cloudy, but maybe it was.

I saw it between 11 and 12, and thought to myself what a striking moon it was. Later it was quite clear, and stayed up forever. That is one advantage of being a nocturnal type person, as I do love unusual moons.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Pebble, sometimes I take over the duties of my DIL's cleaning company, and she is always short of people, so I end up cleaning buildings all night. Then I come in and have to wind down, and end up coming here or surfing and not sleeping. It suits me fine, as I often don't sleep well anyway, and I like cleaning. I usually drive 75 miles before the night is over. I placed and maintain the plants in the main building of one company she contracts with, so I might be dawdling with them up to an hour. Late night for me is like midday to "normal" people. I watched that moon from Georgetown to South Austin, 36 miles each way.

Was too cloudy here to see it last night, glad I caught the news and saw it the night before. Perhaps with all the pollution we'll see it again. Hope not although it was pretty.
