Is this the right place to ask how you put 2 different pictures in the same post? Id appreciate it..
posting 2 pictures at one time
Ginlyn, you'd have to use some photo editing software to make a collage of your two photos, then save the collage as one JPG image. Most photo software has a way to do this. If you run into snags, tell us the software you have and I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction for help with it. :)
Thanks loads,GW. I have Paint Shop Pro,but haven't used it very much.
I think that program has some wizards in it to help you set up a collage. I'm not sure, though. Here's some sites with tips and tricks for using PSP:
Mardiweb.com: http://www.mardiweb.com/web/
Wow, lots of stuff at supertutor.net: http://www.putertutor.net/paint/general.htm
** Including photo collages: http://www.geocities.com/joflo723/collage.htm
And more still at PSP's site, JASC.com: http://www.jasc.com/tutorials.asp
While I'm at it, here's some pages about Adobe Photoshop:
Photoshop 6 online tutorials: http://www.graphic-design.com/Photoshop/
And more: http://www.adobe-photoshop-6-tutorials.com
And still more: http://www.cbtcafe.com/photoshop/
These sites look so fun - I know what I'll be doing when I get back from the roundup!
Kimberly,that is a wealth of information.Thanks a lot.
Ginlyn, I do it with good ol' Paint that's already on my computer. I've been thinking of downloading Irfanview and trying that. Evert uses that and it may be much easier than using Paint ~ gotta' open up a BUNCH of windows and size the main one just right ~ pain. Good luck!
You can do a collage in Irfanview, but you have to be sure the preferences are set up so more than one session of Irfanview can be open at a time. Then, you can create a new image in one, just blank, and open other sessions for the photos you want to add. In each, you have to select and copy the image, then go to your new image session, drag a rectangle for your picture (keep it in proportion to what you just copied from your photo!) and paste the picture into that. It's a little more complicated than using a bonafide DTP app like Photoshop or Paintshop Pro, but it's do-able. ;)
Here's a tutorial I wrote showing how to make a photo collage using Irfanview, since so many here use it. http://davesgarden.com/journal/viewentry/17378/index.html
