Met Windsurffer today

Kit and I traded "weeds" today! I had an extra sweet autumn clematis (weed) and she had a mini rose (weed). I loved hers, she loved mine, easiest swap I ever did! LOL

Kit is such a wonderful new friend. We discovered we live about 2 miles apart! And I got to meet her new kitten. So cute, so friendly, she spent a lot of time scampering around.

That is great that you both finally had the chance to meet with each other.
Must have been Calla that sent her a container,cause don't think I ever did. I beleive I have only sent her the picture of her cat along with the poem that is framed.

Neat! I keep meaning to get over to Aimee's and meet her, but something always gets in the way. One day...

Kathy I wished we had more time to spend together. She had a job to get to and I had to go to my niece's company picnic, so we were very rushed.
Kathy is such a hoot and lovely lady and I can't wait to see her garden. She never realized how small my garden and house was until she saw it. She told me not to turn green when I see her garden, I will be so green that you just might mistake me for a watermelon lol.
Kathy I will check out your baby, of course I know I will just love him, never met an animal I didn't love.

Oh, Troy, don't be lonely! When we have our Ohio get-together this September, can you come? PA isn't THAT far away (depends where in PA: there are 3 Hanovers)! How come Pennsylvania is allowed to do that? Anyway, I just looked, and all of them are eastern PA :( You know what you are going to have to do: put an ad in several of the nearby towns about DG! Calling all gardeners! Meet new ones on the Internet! Friendly international group of gardeners who love to laugh, grow, trade and collect seeds of many plants.

Sorry, not making fun of you; until I met Gardenwife and Windsurffer I was in the same boat as you. Anyway, check out our links about the Ohio roundup! Come if you can! We would all love to meet you.

I'm with Kim I want to meet you and windsurffer too. I'm only 20 minutes away. LOL

I have a small yard right now, and it is not even half way complete yet, just haven't had time to really work on it.

Did get beds ready for all my plants I bringing back from the DG round up, so that should help a lot.

Troy and JoanJ don't feel bad, I have a post here looking for gardeners in my area, it took five years to find anyone close enough for me to visit without falling out in pain from a long drive. Just hang in there, more people are joining DG everyday and I am sure you will find someone in your area soon.

Mike I am looking forward to meeting you and all of my DG family, I am so sure we will have such a good time that we won't want it to end. Gardening friends are just the best!

So Kathy what did you think about my swimming pool...I mean my garden?

Hey Kathy did you check out the link that I posted above yet? You remember we were talking about flooded gardens, I just wanted you to see what I was trying to tell you.

I always enjoy reading about when members meet - especially when they've found out they are almost neighbors!

Kit, sorry, yes I did check that out! I posted a reply on that thread. Pardon the joke (I have an odd sense of humor sometimes), but why did you fence all the water into your yard :O

I took a picture of the flood in our yard, but it didn't turn out :( Few of mine did; going to have a friend with professional software try to play with the images after she converts them to digital; maybe get improved focus. She does this professionally, but is a good friend, also. I think she will do a couple for me. I have 8 of the 24 that were pretty badly out of focus. I have a fairly inexpensive (read, cheap) camera. No manual focus, and lens is for 10-12 feet. Not good enough for a close-up. Next batch will be using a better camera (maybe starting tomorrow?)
