member list by state

Dave... how come I don't appear in the list by state?wondering if I had moved or somthing

If you click on the map I am not there??

irish, you still have Florida written out in your personal info; abbreviate it as FL and you'll appear on the map. You can edit it at your Preferences page - click on "Preferences" in the right-hand column of links, under "About You"

Yep that's what I did and I showed up just like that.LOL

how about a map of other country and the members that live there i noticed we have a quite a few members in europe and other countrys

So far, only 9 members outside the united states have setup their preferences to show their country.

Those are:

4 Canada.
1 Chile
1 UK
1 CH (Switzerland)
1 CR (Croatia?)
1 DE (Germany)

We need more members to go to the preferences page, click Location, and give me their country. If we get, say, 30 entries, I'll add the countries to the memberlist.

go-vols.... I did that and all I can edited is my name and email address

I can't edit anything apart from, as Irish said, my name and eMail number.

Any other clues please?

Dave, I'm having the same problem as Wintermoor and Irish ~ no "Location" link on the left. I know it was there not long ago as I changed mine a couple weeks ago, so it's a moot point for me. But, this may show part of why they're having problems?

I'd love to, but after I click on 'preferences', my left-hand column reads:

At the moment there is no 'location' option offered.

Irish, it's showing up as "FL" now. See ~ at the left of all your posts? I think it's automatic now so everyone that signs up shows up on the map.

I changed from being Hampshire UK (written originally), I used the drop down list to input Great Britain. Now it comes up as Hampshire XX. I certainly hope I'm not a 2 star member or am I just blowing kisses at everyone?

Azalea, go to the Member List (in the right-hand column): http://davesgarden.com/memberlist/

When you scroll down a bit, (past the "browse by user name" and "browse by USDA Zone"), you'll see a map of the U.S.

You can click on any state (for the Eastern seaboard you have to click on the names to the right), and you'll get a list of members in each state.

Beneath the map is a list of Canadian provinces and countries where there are DG members.

Oh Wow - thanks so much, there is still so much to discover here! I'm afraid to ask how long that has been there!! I use the member list a lot, but just by the first letter in the name to see if they are subscribers. I don't do trades anymore with non-subscribers, only sase's
