We planned on seeing Lilo and Stitch this Friday, it was to be Emily's first movie. Well! Not now! See....McDonalds is giving away little plastic Stitch characters. If you haven't seen the commercial, he's blue and has 4 arms. My darling Em left one in a dark place in the living room. On the way to the computer. Yes, I stepped on it. And got all 4 arms clawing into my foot. Fast as lightening, I jumped up and then down on the other foot. However....my big toe on second foot just didn't see it coming and bent backwards or sideways or something. There I was not knowing which foot hurt the worst!!! Pretty sure my big toe is broken, it's bent sideways anyway, and I have torn skin on the bottom of the Stitch clawed foot.
Needless to say, the little alien has it in for me, and I'm not going to spend my money making him rich!!!!
well, not unless Emily actually says she wants to go. okay, not unless she just shows no interest at all in the commercials anymore. oh heck, I'll just be careful at the theater.
NOT going to see Stitch
LOL! Oh, you sound like ME! I'm not alone?! Howie'd laugh if he read this because it sounds SO much like something I'd do.
I once broke my left pinky toe...He and I were newlyweds and I'd been waiting for him to get home. Finally, I heard him walking in the back hallway of our apartment house. I ran to greet him at the door, and en route I managed to jam the leg of the desk right in between my pinky toe and the one next to it, bending poor miss pinky sideways. I cried out and continued, by this time hopping, to the door and let him in.
*sigh*
Oh, and forgot to mention, I was, ummmm, au naturale.
I thought we'd both never stop laughing!!
oh I'm so bad, I can't get up from my desk without hitting my knees on the drawer, and I've always got bangs and bruises. do you spell it clutz???
Do you bang into doors and stuff, too? Like smack your wrists on doorknobs which leap out in front of you?
yes, maybe we need glasses??? LOL!! I'm afraid I'm not going to get your story out of my head before I see you at the roundup, so if I start giggling, you'll know what I'm thinking!!!
LOL tiG you are just another tortured soul at the whim of children and the latest, greatest, big new thing! Be glad there is only one Emily! LOL It can get real out of control with four of them clammering at you and leaving everything on the floor times four! And soon it will be five......... Hope your feet get better quick. Little plastic toys are absolutely the worst!!
I'd forgotten how it was when all mine (4) were little. I honestly don't know how you do it!
OMG, I thought I was a clutz!! When I had just gotten out of the hospital from a car accident and skull fracture, I was leaning over to put my shoes on and hit my head(yes, right in the fracture) on a door knob. It hurt so bad, I think I passed out.
Sisters!
yep, seperated at birth, only to find themselves reunited ~ not on Jerry Springer, not on Maury, but right here on Dave's! Tennessee better watch out, here we come!!
Oh Cala, reading that made my teeth hurt and I got that yucky taste in my mouth! For a moment there, I felt your pain. OUCH!
I am so sorry (and trying so hard not to giggle and failing miserably!).
Ouch!! I have broken several toes and lost several big toenails- nothing hurts worse - so sorry. You've only got 9 days left to get your shoes back on. Or maybe there will be others in Them thar hills going barefoot!
Hey, after reading that Ed from the campground may have been bitten by a brown recluse spider, I don't believe we'll be goin' barefoot, nomatter what folks down south do! I make a big enough fool outta myself without a spider chompin' onto my foot, thankyouverymuch.
Oh, ladies, you have partially redeemed my self esteem. I am the original KLUTZ. My middle name is Grace, and I for the life of me cannot figure what went wrong, but all my life I have had skinned knees, stubbed toes, broken toes, knots on my head from various mishaps and jammed fingers from under reaching and hitting objects with the tips of my fingers. I have scars from climbing trees, climbing over fences, falling off tables, falling from a horse, tripping on my own feet, stabbing and slicing my own hands, and I can't begin to recall all of the clumsy things. I have at least one clumsy event a day, and usually more than one. In addition, I now drop things more often than not. I run into door jambs, guess I don't realize how wide I am, I somehow bang my brow in the corner of the car door, I open the trunk and it slams down on my while I am unloading stuff. And I was convinced I was alone in this odd stuff. Let's hear it for coordination challenged!
my family laughs at/with me, but they honestly don't realize that it hurts when you're constantly hitting, pinching, cutting yourself!!! all summer long I hear 'where did you get that bruise?' Good heavens, if I kept track of them, I'd have to be carrying a book around all the time!! LOL! yep, I'm clumsy, but they love me:)
