Today has been what I would call "A PERFECT DAY".
The temp. is 77 degrees, humidity 34%, sunshiny and a 7-10mph breeze so my windchimes are chiming. I could handle this all the time. You don't need to run the AC and can have the windows open so you can hear all the outdoor noises.
The birds singing, someone hammering, mowers, train whistles and even the cars going by, all music to my ears.
The sounds of life being lived.
All is right with my world.
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A Perfect Day
Bobbi, I am so happy for you. :) Sometimes life is good!!! I have spent the day running and packing boxes. As soon as my baby goes to sleep, I am headed out to work on the veggie garden. So happy for this beautiful day in Ohio!
Amen Bad. Beautiful day for sending out trades, planting, transplanting, replanting, watering, weeding, just enjoying the beautiful weather and the beautiful gardens!
I hope you like your good seeds :)
Yay, it is lovely to have the breeze coming in through the window here. I think I am going to stretch out on the couch by the window and take a nap under a critter blanket. :)
Critter Blanket,he he.i know what
you are talking about there.
Sometimes that blanket gets so
heavy that you can't move a leg.
The weather is beautiful here also.
The temps feel like fall and it's
almost summer. As a matter of fact,
we went to sleep last night with
the windows open in the bedroom
and it got pretty chilly. Hubby
and i are going out to build a
campfire tonight,talk and sip
on some coffee. We like doing
that. Just something about the
smell of a campfire,i just love.
It will be way hot soon enough,
so we thought we would enjoy
what we like to do in the fall
and winter,maybe one more time
before the heat wave arrives.
It was a good day for mowing
and weeding around the house
and i have just been out
admiring my work.lol.
Wow ngal seems like life is pefect for you. We finally cooled down from the high 90's that we were having last week.
Mmmmm yes it was a beautiful day here too. Windows open so the primer dries on my kitchen walls in preparation for the wallpaper lady who is coming Thursday.
Tore off ALL the wallpaper today - in foyer and kitchen, it came off like a dream!
Since that job was supposed to last me a good 2 days (HA~) I decided to reward myself by trimming the suckers off my rose bush and weeding the pachysandra of Thistle plants almost as tall as me!
THen I walked around my yard and tried to figure out what it's all about... haven't taken the time to play outside since so much inside needs done.
I'm trying not to be discouraged by my garden, it is such a mess and I just don't seem to have time to even get to the nursery let alone put in the plants I'd like to be growing...
::sigh::
garedclay......No my life isn't perfect. I wish. If it were, I wouldn't have Mr. Parkinson's as my constant companion. Just every so often I have a really good day. And those I am most thankful for. So I just have to tell the world. I try to focus on the good days and I have a pretty positive attitude and that helps me get through the tough days.
IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY.
I too have work that needs done. I have a wild grape vine on the deck and a silver lace vine on the garden fence that are out of control and threatening to take over. I told my husband that if he couldn't find me sometime, check the vines. They probably got me. I have a wiegelia bush that needs trimmed and I have to keep after the bitersweet vine as it threatens to take over the Russian Olive tree. I have a male and female and have had berries the last two years. I have morning glories along the back fence and I have to make sure they climb the fence and not the other plants and flowers.
Janiejoy I know what you mean. It never ends. But I lvoe it.
I looked around tonight and was for moment overwhelmed with what all needed done. Then I remembered, "Don't look at the whole, take I thing at a time". And that is what I will do.
Hve a wonderful day tomorrow. and Happy Gardening!!!!!!!

You go, Naturegal! I was going to post a somewhat sarcastic message referencing "This Perfect Day" by Ira Levin. But, when I read your message, I decided these truly have been perfect days! Yes, we have our struggles, but thank God we've got our lives :) Stay strong & know that I'm only a few miles South. Let me know if you need something done & I'll be there!
It was a beautiful day here as well. I had the window open and the a/c off in my office most of the day which is a rare treat this time of year.
Morph..Just a few miles south? Whereabouts would that be?
Notice the time. Can't sleep, so am doing those indoor things like the washing. Got behind because our dryer died and had to get new W & D.
Thanks for the offer. Hope to meet sometime. Maybe at the Ohio gathering this fall.
It is raining. Mother Nature watering her gardens. :o)
Hope you all have a good day!!!!!!!!
Ooooh, that must be the rain we are likely to have on Friday! Enjoy it, but save a little for Texas as it passes through. I really enjoy the milder days, despite the skeeters and fire ants and gnats and grasshoppers. Just knowing it's nice outside is a relief. Today, I have to make use of the buckets and cans of rainwater I collected when it rained Saturday, so mosquitoes can't. And then I have to make sure all of the rain that collected in other spots gets dumped. I am on a campaign to make the life of the skeeters miserable.
Go Aimee....Make the skeeters life miserable so they can't make yours' miserable. They say that since we had such a mild winter there will be lots of them this year. Ouch!
Our rain comes from the west, south west, so this rain is most likely headed for the east coast. Sorry. :o[ The sun is shining now.:o}
Not a problem, Naturegal, it might sag a little and drop a few drops in the southwest as it goes from west to east.
That's really funny. You lot are thinking the perfect day is one cooler than usual, whereas across the pond it's the other way round!
This was my weather post yesterday: http://davesgarden.com/showthread/274361.html
:)
Naturegal, just here in South Dayton. Okay maybe more than a few miles, but really not that far considering where everyone is from on DGs :) I'm hoping, too, to make it to the Ohio Round-up. I'm just waiting for word of which weekend so that it gets first dibs on our calendar. Another gorgeous day today ~ yippee!
Morph..You are right, Dayton is just a hop, skip and jump from Wapak. It only takes about 45 min. to get to the north side of Dayton from here.
Yes, another beautiful day!! Maybe we will get lucky and have three in a row. Can always hope. :o]
Have you ever tried to type with a cat in your lap? She doesn't just lie there she keeps moving around and gets in the way. Her name is Beauty and we have her brother Toughy, they are 11 years old. THey seem to think I am their own private doorman. In and out, in and out.

LOL, Naturegal ~ don't I know that feeling! But, it's my two Italian Greyhounds that do that to me. I swear they are half cat! The one just loves catnip and they can jump almost anywhere they want with their long legs. Good thing they stay rather small (~14 lbs). Sounds like you need a cat door :)
Italian Greyhounds, as in dogs, Morph? Dogs are nice, in someone elses house. Greyhounds are kinda neat though. 14 lbs is kinda small. Our cats weigh about 10 or 11 lbs. ea. The vet always tells me they need to lose weight. It is time to take them for their yearly shots and I think they may have gained a little. Almost afraid to take them and face the vet, lol
A cat door would be nice but we do not have an attached garage and I'm sure not going to put one from outside directly into the house. Hard to tell what I might end up
with. Probably a squirrel. We have a really aggressive one that chases Beauty if she is out and he is around. I think they have their roles reversed. chuckle, chuckle...
