Going on a short trip today

Hi All,

Just wanted to let you all know that I will be gone for a few days, until Fri. nite actually.

I am flying up to the Seattle area with my Sister. Her Sis in law lives on Bainbridge Island and we are going to visit her and see alittle of the area. We were going to try to ferry hop over to Butchart gardens in Victoria, but that takes too long for just a short visit.
I did make reservations to visit Herronswood Nursery/Gardens for Thurs. morning. I have seen it on many of the garden TV shows and looked at their web site. I am really looking forward to seeing it in person.
I wish we had time to go down and visit with Pebble. I'm not sure how far south she is from Seattle area.
I also just noticed that Penny4 is in Poulsbo, WA, and she is really close to where we are staying. I wish I had noticed that info sooner, we might have gotten a chance to meet also.
So, have a nice week, and I will let you know when I return, and give you the scoop of the trip, kay?

Don't get me going about the RU....if my DD was due within these last 3 weeks with my first grandchild, I would have gone in a heart beat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Socal, it's about a 3-4 hour drive... Unless you were driving back to california, it would take way to long....
Maybe next time, or maybe i can try to come down there.

I am going to drive to san francisco over the 4th of july week.....actually 3 families are driving down together....one family has a newborn, one family has a 2 yr old, and we have young teens.....arent we going to be having a lot of fun???/ I might just talk myself right out of it....
these same three families (we) planned a camping trip, and got all excited then I talked the group out of it, cause I could just see myself being the slave and then needing a vacation just to recoup....of course I told them that it was going to rain....lol luckily it started to pour today, and it doesnt look like it is going to let up.....yeayyy

OH! I just saw this thread!! If I'd known I would have extended an invitation to see me, SoCal!!! It's not too late, is it? I am here and the gardens are looking FAB (well, except it rained yesterday and today...and I really need to mow....) and I would love to meet you. I'll send a email to you.
Don't forget the Bloedel Reserve, too, if you are making reservations to gardens. It is right on Bainbridge Island. I haven't been there yet, but we plan to go this summer. "Mah-thah" went there, you know... Hee hee ;)
Bainbridge is about 20-30 minutes (depends on traffic) from me. My best gal pal lives there.
