Cala, Ms lady I would like to know.

(Zone 5a)

I have been reading all the things that you have managed to get into those boxes that you sent to everyone and couldn't believe my eye's. I have to mention that I only thought that I had five coleus until I opened them up and found that I had more than I thought. Not to mention the rest of the plants you sent me as well as others, now what I want to know is how do you do it? Now don't be shy just give it up...nosey lady wants to know!
I want to thank you for the brug, it is doing fine and I can't wait to see it bloom. I don't know how you knew but I was going to order an orange one when I received your package. Now I ask you is that esp or what????
Anyway here is a picture of the Jean Pasco Orange that you sent me.

That's so funny. I couldn't decide which color to send you and Jean Pasco fit in just perfect.
I first wash most of the soil off the roots, lay them on newspaper and start rolling it up around the plants. If they are going a long distance I wrap each plants roots with plastic too. I line the inside of a priority box with a grocery bag(the plastic ones) and lay the plants inside, alternating sides with the rootball. Sometimes I have to give it a gentle thump on the ground(hey, it's gonna get tossed around a bit at the PO anyway) and can usually get a couple more plants inside the box. That's all I do, nothing special.

Well you did a good job packing them, thanks again for the brug. Do you think I'll be lucky enough to get some blooms this summer? Since I don't know the growth habbits of these plants and hearing that they all have different growth rates and bloom times, I was just wondering.

Kit, you should get blooms. I tried to pick one that I thought would bloom.

Goody, that means I will too, eh? I am getting into the brug mood now.

Oh thank you, I can hardly wait. I have five brugs now and I just can't wait to see them all in bloom. I have some lovely pink and white ones and one I don't know what it is...I think I am getting hooked already.I can't believe how large these plants can get, now my little yard will look like a jungle this year.

Aimee I can't wait to see your blooms as well.

Aimee, yes yours should bloom too.
