Super Tips on Using Google.com for Searches

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I was going to put this in the computer forum, but I figure the majority of the folks here don't go there unless they're having a technologically-induced crisis of some sort. Plus, this is something everyone on the web can use, every day. :)

This http://www.yil.com/features/feature.asp?Frame=false&Volume=08&Issue=06&Keyword=googler is to an article from Yahoo Internet Life magazine. It's got some excellent tips for making your Google.com searches more effective.

This is great stuff, whether you're looking for people, places, plants, song lyrics...You name it. Pump up your search capabilities! It goes beyond the basics, but in very direct and simple language, just like, well, Google.

Okay, I'm a geek, yes. But this is really cool. ":oD

That is cool! I can't discuss it much as I just cut the palm of my mouse hand a minute ago and I'm doing this reply "hunt and peck", but I had to tell you that i love it! Going back to do more reading ~ one thing I CAN do. ;-)

Thanks, Gardenwife! I've used Google for a year or more, but that article is a lot like taking blinders off a horse. I can't wait to try those tips.

I know, I had no idea how much you could do with that search engine. It's a testimony to the developers' skill and imagination.

VERY handy - thanks, GW! I Google countless times a day doing research, and some of these tips will definitely come in handy (especially the end-run around the dreaded 404 error message :)
