Dave==Change of Internet Provider

Milo, IA(Zone 5a)

Dave-- I will need your help. For some reason my internet provider will not be servicing our area shortly. So I have to go with another ISP. How will that effect my membership here. How will I log on with a new e-mail. Can I keep my same pages and name. Debby

Debby...I think you should get a freebie email account (like Hotmail) and use it on your DG homepage (your preferences). I had to change mine some time back when I lost my original email that I had signed up with. Anyway, go to your pref page, put in your new email address, then you can always sign in no matter who your internet provider is. You won't lose your journal or info and can keep your sign-in name. It worked for me.

Debby: Horseshoe is right. Click 'Preferences' in your menu and enter in the new E-mail address. That's all you'll have to do.

Thank you Horseshoe and Dave. I now have an e-mail at hotmail. I have changed my preference page. It seems that the local telephone company here is pushing our Internet Provider out of our rural area, so we have to go with the telephone company's internet service. Talk about a monopoly, where did free enterprise go. We have no choice but to go with the telephone company. The injustice of it all. My cousin is a legislature in the House of Represenatives for Iowa, he will here about this.
