Anybody heard from her?? Last I knew, she was supposed to be home Saturday!!

wingnut??????????
I was worrying, too. I hope Les hasn't had complications. Or Linda and Kenny haven't been in an accident. Sure would be nice to hear something.
Still haven't heard.....not like her!!

Has anyone emailed her?
I did.....both her and Kenny!! Kenny is a non subscribed member. I think we need to hit the Prayer Request forum, hot and heavy!!

Eyes...I emailed wingnut the other day....through DG...haven't had an answer yet either. JO
I tried to call Wingnut, and got an intercept message. Then I tried to call her mother's, where I got the answering device, so I left a message. Now I am really worried!
Where am I? If you mean me, I am in Georgetown, Texas, just about 20 miles north of Austin, and Linda lives to the west of here, don't know how far but about 25 miles, I guess.

This is just so worrisome to me!! Maybe we need to contact the Texas Highway Patrol.

Trouble is, we don't have enough of a location to give them, and we know she is probably in Dallas anyway. I will try to call her mother's a little later, but don't want the poor lady to think she's being harassed if she's just trying to get a shower and a nap.
Do you know the hospital that they were taking her Dad to??

I think I answered this on another thread, and I think it was "The VA" in Dallas. I guess there is only one VA hospital in Dallas. If you decide to call, let me know what you find, please! I was debating doing it, but didn't want to always be the one. One could get a rep, you know.
What???? Whooo???? You??? I just got an email from Linda, and she is fine, thank God. Took longer in Dallas than they ad anticipated, but I will let her tell y'all about that herself. Love Ya!!

I'm here! And touched that you all were so concerned! Thank you!!
It took longer than I thought ~ just got back late last night. When we got there, the doctors changed their minds and were hesitant about doing the surgery ~ said that he might not survive it because of his age and lung condition (rheumatoid arthritis affects the lungs in some people and I guess Les is one of them). Les, Mom and I were ready for this ~ I took the anesthesiologist out in the hall and told him, "Look ~ they know he's an old man and they're not expecting a miracle. They know that he might be in a wheelchair because of the surgery AND they know he might not survive it. They are both okay with this because they also know that without the surgery, he will be bedridden for the rest of his life which won't be long because he for sure won't survive being bedridden. He'll give up and die if his lungs don't kill him first from lack of exercise." So they did the surgery the next day. And he came through it with flying colors and without pain! He did have some leg cramps and painful tingling ~ docs and nurses said that was just because of swelling at the surgery site.
They transported him back to the Temple VA for physical therapy yesterday, so I came home. And the phone had been disconnected! Ack! They do that when you don't pay the bill. *grin* Seems in all this I had forgotten to pay it!! But it's back on now ~ Aimee, Kenny called you to let you know. Thank you for being a concerned friend!! All of you!!!
Mom called this morning and said he was back in surgery ~ had some problems with his lungs but it wasn't anything major that I needed to come up there for. She said something about his left lung collapsing (?), but I don't remember for sure. I had been comatose on the couch when she called, so I could have misunderstood her from being groggy from sleep. But she assured me that the doctors said it wasn't a big bad thing, that he would be fine. I know it's not that bad because she was calm. If it was bad, she would have been REALLY shaky and I could have heard it in her voice ~ she can't cover up things like that at all. Kenny and I got her a cell phone and I've have been trying it all day, but it doesn't get a good signal inside the building and you know that's where she's staying, right outside the surgery/recovery room door! So I know she can call me if there are any problems and she hasn't ~ no news is good news!
Thank you all again for your prayers and good wishes!! And thanks for not sending the cops out after me! LOLOL!
Another update: Mom called and said it was more of a "procedure" that they did this morning than an actual "surgery". He had lots of fluid in his lungs due to the arthritis and congestive heart failure condition (can't remember the exact term for it right now), so they had to put in a drain tube. It went very well, only took about 30 minutes, and he's resting comfortably now. He needs to get up out of that bed! That's what's causing the fluid buildup. Hopefully soon he can start physical therapy and the exercise will help his lungs stay clear. I can't wait!
