On Thursday, June 6, I hit 59 and also took a medical retirement because of my back injury when I fell at work. I was so excited (I can cope with the back thingy). My seniors I have been caring for had a little party and also gave me a basket of flowers and a card with $$$$ in it. After a meeting in the afternoon, my spousal unit and in-laws took me out to dinner.
When I finally got home, 2 balloons tied to my mail box (one said Happy Birthday, the other said Congratulations)! cued me to stop and I had another little party at the neighbors' house.
I also had a e-card from Dave's Garden. What a day!
