I ate to much

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

I carried Bobbie to Atlanta today and we stopped in Newnan and ate lunch at Ryans on the way home. Here's what I ate.
1 chicken breast, a piece of ham about two inches square and 3/4 inch thich, a large helping of roast beef in vegatables, two huge rolls one with honey on it and the other with cheese, a large helping of corn, a large helping of macaroni and cheese, 2 slices of fresh pineapple, a large helping of green limas, 10 large strawberries, chocolate browie with ice cream and hot fudge on top, coconut cake, 4 glasses of sweet tea and 2 cups of coffee. I want to take a nap and if I wake I know I didn't die from all that food. The waitress and Bobbie was laughting at all I ate. When you're a big man it takes a lot to keep you going. LOL For all the northerner a helping is the same as a serving.
Oh yeah they gave me my senion citizen discount only because Bobbie was with me. Don't tell her I told ya'll that. LOL

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

lol Jim, - wow though, sounds like you had enough for several people......was it good though? that's the main thing.

Wapakoneta, OH(Zone 5b)

Geeze, where did you put it all.

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

Jim, that is so funny. I didn't know you were such a 'character'! (For all you southerners, that means 'nut'.)

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

lol GL....

Granny LOL. I learned all the southrern slang from tiG, Mollybee, Azalea and TraciS. BTW I'll take that as a compliment.
Rose I don't eat that way all the time but it was there and I was there and it just happened. One day this week I went all day and only ate one bisquit early morning and then didn't eat again until about 8 that evening. My weight has been the same for about 10 years, 250 and I know that sounds like a lot but when you're 6'6" it really isn't a lot. Pebble and naturegal it was good and I just kept putting. The sad thing my DIL has come over to cook Lasagna tonight. I hope won't be mad when I say, no thanks.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Jim, don't everbody et like that at that Ryan's in Noonan??

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Didn't I tell the truth. LOL
We should have called tiG to come eat with us but it was a spur of the moment thing. This is the first time in a long, long time that Bobbie has felt like getting out. Usually it is get me home as fast as you can so I can get in the bed. I guess I decided to take advantage of the situation.

Wow Jim glad you and Bobbie got to go out . Did you leave anything for anybody else? lol Sounds like you had a heck of a meal.

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Sounds great! I always love to take DH and DS to a buffet and watch them eat. They definitely get their money's worth and it's fun watching them enjoy it so much.

LOL I bet you did look funny piling it all on your plate. I like sitting close to the bar so I can watch people fix their plates. I watched this man one time making his self a salad...his plate was piled purdy high and what made it soo funny was his little cherry tomatoe kept rolling off and he'd pick it back up and lay it on top only to have it roll off again! finally he layed it on the sise of the plate and held it with his finger! LOL the way he piled on the food it was almost like he didn't know he could come back for seconds LOL
I'm sure I would have gotton tickled watching you tote all that food then watching the look on your face as you were leaving the resturant!

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Don't know how you remembered all that Jim. We went to Ryan's here in Jonesboro last Saturday, I think I had just as much!! I don't really like to stuff myself so much, but it is sooo good, especially if I don't have to cook it.

I did eat some lasagna tonight also. I had a good reason. I didn't want DIL mad at me. LOL

Jim, even as tall as you are, that is one huge pile of food. I think you have a hollow leg. I used to like to go to Shoney's when I was in Nashville, and I probably could have held my own with the piles I tucked away. Then Shoney's came to Austin, just a couple of blocks from where I lived, and I could hardly wait to indulge. It wasn't the same at all! I pass close to a Ryan's at least once a week in Austin and have never gone in. If it makes you all eat like it's going out of style, maybe i am missing some good eating? I hate to eat out, so it would have to be pretty good. Unlike you, my weight isn't staying the same these days.

And he's probably one of those guys who can eat like that and not see an ounce of it show up on the bod. I dated a guy like that once. ** Sigh ** not so the GH and I! Sure sounds scrumptious, though. They have Ryan's in Ohio, too, and they're wonderful. :)

Wapakoneta, OH(Zone 5b)

Jim, I wasn't critizing. I am not very big and cannot hold very muich. Sometimes when we go to a buffet I wish I could. It all looks so good. But I fill up too fast and often don't even have room for DESSERT!. Now isn't that a bummer.

I am glad your Bobbie felt good enough to eat out. That'sw great!!

Bobbi

I felt that I had to make up for what Bobbie didn't eat. Always try to get my moneys worth. Our son and his family are her from Memphis and we dragged out old home movies last night that our DIL says that she had never seen of the boys when they were babies and little tikes. Now I was a whopping 160 lb in those days and was so skinny that I could stay dry in a rain storm. I stayed thin until I quit smoking. Then the weight came.
I don't like the Ryan's here in Lagrange. Now the one in Newnan is great.

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

Now we know who has the infamous hollow legs!
