a real wild aurea - Rothkirch

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Look at the clear trumpet shape of the flower and compare it with your two pictures. Even when the flower ages, the trumpet shape is still seen.

Wish I could find one of these plants..need the genes... :-)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Oh to have that one in the Jungle House.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I'd be happy to have one anywhere.

It is beautiful beyond any expression, Monika.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

My goodness, that is a beauty.

Cala,
So when are you going to get that one? I'd be happy to donate to get it here.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

me too

Cala,
Please, Please, Please...I know I'm a trouble maker. LOL

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Heck, why don't we just take up a huge collection and get one of everything that Monika has. :)

Hempstead, TX(Zone 8b)

now that's the best idea i've heard in a long time snowhermit :)

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Let's do it!! Great idea.

Real beauty, Monika!

Franktown, CO(Zone 5a)

Just gorgeous! I'm in Calla

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Count me in too.......The colors in Monika's brugs are to die for.......

FSH, TX

Looks just like a versicolor flower cut in half and shoved back inside of its calyx. Of course it points out instead of down as well. Not to mention the calyx is not the standard cresent moon shape of the common versicolor. Are we getting it yet?

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Help !!! I love RED that is so beautiful...WOW

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Beautiful!!! I vote for the same, count me in too!!!

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

I vote for that idea too. Lani

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Brugman, my local friend has one of your hybrids in bloom. she said it is the tallest, first to bloom and is light yellow. gonna get a pic tomorrow if all goes well and will post.

Arlene and Eric,
I look very much forward to actually see it too. Eric, its characters sounds very promising :-)

FSH, TX

Okay, bringing this favorite back up for everyone to go simply crazzy over.

It really is a beauty, isn't it.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

This is truly gorgeous.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Hope, my Rothkirch keeps all her seed pods, about 10.

FSH, TX

You have 10 seedpods on this one...all pollinated with Ecuador pink? I have hopes that you'll get a red double for us. If anyone can do it we know you can.

Are they small or large pods? Here`s crossing my fingers for you, Monika, that all ten stay on.

Good luck with those seed pods Monika. I have my fingers crossed for you too.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I pollinated most with EP, 2 Charleston, 2 Apricot Queen and 2 Kaskade. One Charleston and one AQu seed pod has the size of a plum

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Monika, I hope you get lots of seeds from these crosses. It is such a beautiful flower and one that we only dream about having.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

I hope so too, snow. The pods will grow until its time for the winter sleep and larger pods have better chances to stay on furing winter and mature.

Oh, Monika, I think I am already in love with RK x AQ and RK x Kaskade. I used AQ on most everything here. *lol* Hope to transfer AQ shape + different colors to hybrids. I already see onehundredandone AQ hybrids starting out pale apricot turning orangypink ending up red. Ad long whiskers and backwards curl of the edges.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

LOL, Tonny, I dreamed many times about getting wonderful hybrids and when they started blooming, I quick woke up and found myself in reality again - and very dissappointed!
I think, excitement, surprise and dissappointment belongs to a breeders life. Otherwise crossing will become boring.

*LOL* Monika, I know, what I can expect. I have just placed a large order for paper hankerchiefs for next year. When being realistic about it I exspect many whites in different shapes, but hopefully a few with nice color and other nice qualities.

FSH, TX

I seem to get lucky when I hybridize...nearly all whites most of the time.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Breeder joy and breeders sorrow, LOL!!!

FSH, TX

Monika, if my whites looked like yours then I would be ecstatic with them.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

the dream brug.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

amen!!! the dream pollen, the flower to dream of, the brug dream brugs come from.... I could go on:)

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

***SIGH*****

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)
