I applied to a thread about windows ME and I sent my post and it popped up as: Database error:Invalid SQL:update forums set replies=(replies+1),threaddate=now()where pid=26403
MySQL Error:1064(you have an error in your SQL syntax near"at line 1) Session halted

I clicked back and re-done the send and it said reply sent.
kinda freaky!! what's up dave?? I never got this til you started working on it!! LOL just joking.

Okay I finally got it to happen to me. Now that I've seen the problem I can fix it.

Dave

Okay, did I fix it? I made a change and now I'm reloading and reloading the forums page and haven't gotten the error yet.

Is anyone else seeing it? Please check for me.

Dave, still happening here :(

ok Dave now I was fixing to go over to the right of my screen and click on search when right under your logo it said: Warning: My SQL
Link to server lost
unable to reconnect
in/www/garden/include/db-_mysql.inc
then it flashed and brought me back to this here page so I thought I'd tell ya about this one too. it's gone now though

mollybee

okay I've got a serious error here. :(

I'm having some serious hardware malfunctions here. Signal 11 for those of you Linux folks who may be reading this.

This means my RAM is bad. It's working 99.99% of the time, but it is hitting a bad sector somewhere and can't work around it. At least it's not crashing the operating system.

I need to go in to the ISP again tomorrow and replace this RAM. In the meantime, try to deal with these errors. As a temporary solution, if you get an error, just reload the page and it should work.

ok Dave Sorry about all those error's maybe it wont be too hard to fix!!

Is anyone still seeing the errors? I made a change to our database software and am wondering if I was able to work around the problem.

Let me know if you're still seeing database errors anywhere.

Dave

Okay!! Well, I think I have fixed the problem for good by getting a patch for our webserver. We've gone several minutes without any errors showing up in the logs (the server logs whenever any of you gets an error).

Please!! Let me know immediately if you get any more errors from this moment forward. Right now I'm hoping that the problem is solved.

Dave

Well, we made it through the night and the server logs show that not a single error happened. Did anyone see anything?

Hi Dave - sorry but here is another problem. When I went to CACTI on the plant database I got this message. "requested URL/plants/cacti.php was not found on this server. All the other categories work fine, except when I try to post pictures on the data base I get the message that the pictures must be jpg, but that is what they are!! Maybe this is something I am doing wrong as I am definitely NOT an expert on computers. Sorry to give you one more headache.

thanks Ehowell - I fixed the cacti page.

Dave
