My daughter and her fiance' designed and made this garden bench and the plant boxes for me. They also finished the little brick terrace, which I had started last fall, to put it on. I didn't notice until after I took the picture which tea mug I had that day!
my new garden bench
How neat Kathleen! I love it. It looks like a great place to sit and relax. What is that little mushroom looking thing by the watering can?
lol, it's a little mushroomy looking thing! Cement toadstools that someone gave my mother and she gave me.
They are very neat! Looks like something that came out of a fairy tale.
It's nice having matching things, especially when someone made them just for you. How cool, Kathleen! :)
Nice bench Kathleen. Nice guy your daughter has too, he sounds like a keeper.
What a nice relaxing place! And I see you did the wash too...I love having my clothes haning outside! Where is Panama, NY...is it on the route of The Wild Bunch's trip??? Jo
Looks like a scene from Country Living Magazine!
Jo, if you come back through Buffalo, I'm 90 miles south and west (how long were you planning on being on the road, 2 years???) on the way, more or less, to Cleveland. Get off 90 at westfield and head due south. If you get to the PA border, you've gone just a bit far, but we can get you back!
Mary, definitely a keeper this time, eases my mind about that girl considerably.
How nice! I love the pieces that someone made for you the best. My furniture on my front porch was made by a dear friend who passed away last year. I'll always miss him,but whenever I sit in my swing or chairs,I have nice memories.
I have a friend that lives in Watertown....HMMMM Jo
very nice looking bench and planter boxes there Kathleen.
Right on Zany. It does look like something from a magazine.
How thoughtful of your daughter and her fiance to do this for you! The bench looks so inviting and I like the mushroom thingy too! How far are you from Oneida? DH's Grandma lives there and has been asking me to come up for a few days this summer.
Carol, we're probably about 6 hours from Oneida, maybe 7. We're in the farthest Southwest corner of the state - BUT, if you wanted to come down this way, I'd be happy to see you and we have a spare room!
oooooo i lov it kathleen......[[[[[[nana]]]]]] maybe one day
I will get to come up an sit a spell on that bench with you an drink a big cup on that coffee I see...
[[[[[[[lov nana]]]]]]]]]
What a great gift-do you get to sit in it?? I hardly ever have time to sit on my benches or lay in my hammock-but they LOOK good in the garden!!! ;]
Wonderful looking and my favorite color!!!
I know something that is gonna look downright purty with that seat, Kathleen........and you're gonna love sitting there breathing it all in!! Great job, and great kids!!
"eyes"
Nana, would you settle for a nice cup of tea? I have Earl Grey, Vanilla, blackberry, fresh mint...
Dori - that's where I collapse. I don't have time, but I don't have a choice anymore. It's nice to have such a great looking spot to go to, and the tree is leafing out so it will be shady through the summer.
"eyes', you are a terrible temptress! I'm waiting patiently (haha)! And yes, they are great kids!
MOI..........ah, but contrare, my dear...=o}

Kathleen, what a fun and relaxing place that looks like.
