The Wild Bunch Rides Again!!!

Cala, be careful! That woman has been known to try some pretty wild stunts since I've known her. You could end up in a desert in Siberia, looking for some fabled cactus she saw in the comics. I tell you, her imagination knows no bounds. Oh, she has the best of intentions, but she needs clear boundaries. It would be a shame to lose both of you right at the beginning of the growing season, yea, I say unto you, the beginning of the MG growing season.

Can someone hold Jo's MGs for ransom to be sure I return home safely? If I'm not back by the second week in August, then you can post the photos and claim them as your own.

You guys will have a ball and I'm a little jealous too, but swinging back through Iowa would really be a stretch. However, if you would like to do that, I'm sure that we Iowa DGers could show you a good time. Seriously, have a great time. We will all miss you while you are gone. Pictures, pictures,,,,,,,,,,,,

Calalilly and I were thinking about taking a different route back to TN. Anyone that is familiar with routes from Portland to the Canadian side...how are the roads...how far from Portland to Canada. ...or which is the best way to travel if one wanted to drive back through the Buffalo area to Ohio and down? Which route would allow us to meet the most Dave's Gardeners? Let me have your input. Thanks....Jo/navigator

I'm gonna offer my 2cents worth. Rt. 90 from Buffalo to Rt. 71S just south of Cleveland, OH. That will take you to Columbus, several gardeners seem to live around that area and then continue on Rt. 71S to Cincinnati.

Of course I live just about 100 miles north of Cinn. in little ole Wapakoneta, home of Neil Armstong and the Neil Armstrong museum. OF course that is the opposite direction you will be headed. You could always pick up Rt. 33 in Cols. which runs by our fair little town..(approx 1 1/2 hr drive) and intersects I75 at the edge of town and take it south to Cinn. I live about 5 mins. from I75. But I think I am the only DG in this area.

Would be great to meet you guys though. IF my garden and the weather cooperate, it should be looking pretty good by then.

I see the menus are fattening up! Looks like people are trying to outdo me and I said I would cook whatever you want. Now I am getting one upped in the kitchen! Maybe you two oughta make it a month instead of a week. LOL I think I am the only one WAY down in Cincinnati. I'm sure Peggy and I could agree to one or another's house to cut out a stop. LOL Can you guys bring Nana so I can have her until you pass back through?

I still think you need to head east on 40 and stop here and then head on up 77 and then 81 to Virginia, Maryland, etc....Guess I forgot that 81 part in my last post.

Vic...the problem with that is that when Susie leaves her home, I will be in Richmond, VA...and she will have to pick me up there....or at some point on I-81 near Staunton, VA...then we'll head to MD...(I get to read the map)then maybe NJ...and I have someone to visit in NH...then on to Maine....I can see that we do need a month, but will cram as many hours in a day as we can. Hey guys, I'll be happy to meet at a central location, if need be. It would really be great to meet as many of you as possible. It's always nice to be able to put a face to a name.
If yooou come this way, do you have any idea what dates you will hit Ohio. This is in late July, right?

We are leaving the 26th of July and going first to MD, then NJ then NH then Maine.

Since we have added a new Navigator (Carol7)...I'm bumping this up so she can take names...LOL Jo

Will you be coming through NC on your way north? If you plan to stop at Biltmore Gardens, maybe Darius and I can meet you and also some others in the area.

Woodspirit...not going south...this trip....LOL heading north on I-81 and then I95 in the Baltimore area. Sorry to have missed you/ Jo
