Squirrel alert/Carol7 visit

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Howdy folks. Some of you know Carol7 popped in for a visit last Thursday on her way home from the regional Master Gardeners Seminar. In addition to lots of pamphlets/catalogs she picked up there she also surprised me with this T-shirt! (Guess she knew of my undying love for these varmints!)

That is a great t-shirt! I bet you get a kick out of wearing it. Perfect for wearing on warm Market days!

'Shoe! I LOVE that!!!!!!!!! Carol, where did you find it?!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL that is too funny! Is there one with a chipmunk? I have one that is about to meet his unmaking! LOL

Newcastle, ON(Zone 5a)

Or how about rabbits LOL..they have eaten two new clumps of Blue Fescue..a new David Garden Phlox..two clematis..and so on..

Surry, VA(Zone 7b)

I had a great time meeting Shoe and his wonderful family! It didn't take long before I felt as if I had known Shoe for a long time. While showing me around he pointed out his daughter Alex's flower garden and she has done a great job! Could gardening be an inherited trait? ;o) Swosnick (Suzy) also stopped by to say hello so I had the opportunity to meet two DGer's in one day! Unfortunately, time flew by too fast and I had to head back to Raleigh, but not before Shoe had generously loaded up my car with plants! I had also visited Plant Delight's Nursery on Tuesday, and of course I couldn't leave there empty handed either. I looked like a nursery on wheels during the drive home! lol

I found this t-shirt at a gift shop here in Surry. It is one of their best sellers. Whoever came up with this idea must be a gardener with a great sense of humor! The next time I go into town I'll ask if there are any shirts available of our other gardening "friends"!

Shoe, thanks again for the great visit!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

LOL! That's so you, Shoe. And I can believe crazy Carol found it for you. I've seen that shirt at Wild Birds Unlimited, a franchise of stores carrying birdfeeders, other wildlife habitat stuff, and outdoor decor.

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

So Horseshoe where do I collect the reward ?

Got him yesterday with my trustY ol' pellet-gun. Weez gets a little PO'd with me when I use the 12 gauge and finds little bits of fur on the plants she's selling.

Hah!! Dennis..I thought she'd get PO'd cuz she hasta pick the pellets out of the skin when she is cleaning them for supper! Oh well, if she can't get them all out I imagine we all need our iron supplement.
Reckon I owe you $1.37, eh? er, uh...that WAS the re-ward weren't it?

Sharpsville, PA(Zone 5a)

How about one for a possum? You won't believe what was sitting on my dryer this morning, of course Wally our trusty guard dog was sound asleep on my feet the whole time.

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

(Zone 5a)

Shoe I love it and I am glad that the three of you had a good visit.

Carol I know you had a wonderful time with your classes and getting to meet Shoe and Swosnick, only wish that I could have been there...cute shirt.

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

I know you two had a great time. Carol I only wish Bobbie hadn't been having the spinal tap and you could have paid us a visit. I know you wanted to come and we rally wanted you to. Maybe next time.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Shoe, yes a little baby o'possum. It ran out when Bill turned on the light. I don't know how it got in, the dryer hose thingie doesn't have a hole in it. We will have to drag the washer and dryer out and see where the little bugger got in at.

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

good grief!!..I've had snakes in the house b4..never a possum. You "one-upped" me!
Jim, I've had several spinal taps..hope she pulled thru okay. (If she gets past the headache the rest is a breeze.) Hope both of ya'll are doing good....
