Need help with garden journal

(Zone 5a)

When I click on my journal and try to find My 2001 Garden, I have to do a search to find it. Is there anyway I can add it to the journal so when I open it I won't have to do a search? http://davesgarden.com/editgj/

Wind ... when I click on your "default journal" it's right there.

Poppy all I see is the My 2002 Garden not My 2001 Garden?

When you go into Journal under Your Tools, I think it brings up the last journal you worked on. If you go down to Change Your Default Journal, you should see your default journal, where it appears you have your 2001 entries. If you click on that, it should bring up your 2001 entries. Make sense? That's how I switch between journals anyway.

Wind - this is how we see your page http://davesgarden.com/journal/hp/windsurffer/index.html

See ... there's your "Deafault Journal" and your "2002 Journal". You could move your 2001 Journal and make it a third journal if you wanted. That would make it easier to get to.

You guys are so nice to help and I see what you mean now. SWASG(smile with at silly grin) I am so tired and I get frustrated fast when I haven't had enough sleep. I clicked on the default journal and found it, the basic problems with most Leo's is that we always make everything so complicated or let me change that statement, at least the two Leo's here does lol. I have had only three hours of sleep this week for one reason or the other, this is not an excuse but a fact.
Last night I was just getting into a couple a good zzz's when out of no where I felt something crawling on my face. It was our new little Fuzzball trying to lick my lips and mounting my head try to find nipples, I think that she think I am her mother and is trying to nurse. I couldn't even get mad after looking into those little beautiful eye's, I just had to kiss and hold her and laugh. I am going to take a picture of my new expensive fur hat, I do realize that not everybody can afford such luxuries lol.
Again thank you all :)

That reminds me - is there a way to make it so your default journal is the first place you end up if you don't have any others created?

Kimberley, if you only have the default journal, it should just take you there, doesn't it? I have several journals set up, and it always takes me to the last one I worked on.

I wish there was a way to have more than one status per plant. For instance, if I have a plant growing, and also have seeds, I could know by looking at that entry that I have some growing and also still have seeds left. It would save lots of time the following year, as I could look at the status "Have Seeds" and know what I don't need to buy. I could also keep tract of the plants I have going at the same time. Maybe when Dave gets caught up, I'll ask if that's a possibility.

I gave up on the journal bit i never can figure it out, maybe i will have to have someone set it up for me a little? I have read the helpful hint thing but it makes no sence to me.

Midwestsnowbird, start by setting up your catagories and subcatagories as you want them. Take a look at other people's jounals and see how they are set up, then set yours up to suit you. If you set your catagories up first, it's much easier, because it's hard to change them once you have entries in them.

I too had lots of trouble with the journal at first, but I kept on it and finally figured it out so it's easy now.

It would be impossible for anyone else to set your journal up for you, since we don't have access to your working journal, we can only view your journal.

If I can be of any help, please let me know. It used to intimidate me, but now I love it!
