Since different states have their chosen poet laurets and football teams have their mascots, etc., I would like to propose that we make Houseshoe our chosen mascot at DG. I think that he should have a title of some kind to make it official. I just thought of this as I was viewing the wonderful sunflower picture of him that Kimberly created. Go_vols, could we come up with some sort of contest to start this ball rolling? Maybe we need Horseshoe's permission to be using his name in vain also. What do you people think?

Well I have it straight from "The Horse's Mouth", Shoe wants to remain just one of us and not "stand out" as anyone special. Maybe he just wants to be out standing in his field (watching the birds fly by)literally and not have a lot of fuss made over him. I hardly see how that is possible with his unique way of viewing things, as there is just not another Shoe. But would the world really be ready for another one, I ask you? I personally think he is a unique "character" and think that it is our good fortune having him as a regular contributer to our forums and threads. So much for recognizing his uniqueness.

(Hint for the newbies who haven't heard this story - its main character is none other than 'shoe hisself. And his shoes. Or lack thereof.)
