Oriental Lilies

Feeding Hills, MA(Zone 5a)

I did a search for orintal lilies and came up with not one.

However it gave me 15 other things.....not even close.

Such as Blue Rug Juniper, Western Coneflower, Sycamore Tree, etc.

if searching on Plants Database, try looking for specific variety of oriental lily like Stargazer.

u're welcome KatBaxter.

Kat, I just replicated your search, and then located the Stargazer lily entry. The reason you weren't getting it in your search result is because the term "Oriental Lily" wasn't in the database - the entry for Stargazer used the word 'Stargazer' as the common name, and Oriental Lily wasn't in that entry, (nor apparently in any others.)

I edited the entry to the common name Oriental Lily, cultivar name 'Stargazer' and now you'll at least get that as a result if you search again.

If there are other entries in the database that should have a different (or additional) common name, please let me know.

Also, keep in mind that if you search for the plural (example: Oriental Lilies), you're not as likely to get good matches as if you search for "Oriental Lily".

Thanks for the good feedback for Dave as he fine tunes the search engine :)

Yes, indeed, all feedbacks on the search engine provide me more information on ways to improve the same. I spend a lot of time tweaking it and improving it. One day, after enough feedback, we'll have the best written search engine out there!

Thanks for the info! :*)
