I checked out Norton and Mcafee on the special game, they don't list it, my virus scanner didn't find anything, but it came from a DGer who didn't send it, and it went from me to at least one other and I didn't send it.
hope it's nothing.

I got the special game email today.

Olympia, WA

For any email you get that you are suspect of - forward it to uce@ftc.gov - and you will not only get an INSTANT reply if one of the KLEZ worms (there are variants) is embedded, but you will also get a link to the FTC site where the nature of the worm is explained.

It always follows that we should NEVER open any attached file, no matter how enticiing, if it is coming from someone you don't know.

As I understand it, the way the KLEZ worm works is to invade your Outlook Express address list and then is sent out to everyone in your address book.

As a Mac person, I seldom (never? knock on wood) get these nasty things at the level that they infect my system, but I have forwarded LOTS of spam mail to that addy at the FTC - and when there is a nasty attached, they let me know.

One worm carrying piece of email "looked" as if it was a "can't deliver" your email notice supposedly from the Postmaster@earthlink. The file there was a .scr, but they can come in even as a .jpg - so it IS a jungle out there!

Egads!!!!!! We need to practice some lethal vermiculture - compost those guys!!!!

Temple, GA(Zone 7b)

I got the game one too, but was suspicious and deleted it as soon as I read it. It said something like, Come and play a game with me and I would be the 1st to play this game. So, I deleted it. I got an email from a Fellow DG'er this morning and said that I sent her a virus. Well, I had not even sent her anything that I was aware of, and so I have ran my McAfee Scan and am not sure how to remove what it found. Well, I guess I'll wait on DH to get home, he has much more patience than I do.

Thanks Tig for the warning!
