-I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I can't keep up with this, what is the new system??????
Yes, Flowox, but I think Aimee & I responded at the same time to your post ~ oops! I'll edit & delete it...
I removed it & will wait till it's back on track in order that I not further confuse matters ~ so sorry...

Morph, we are supposed to take the last word of the last post and use it in our new post. So you would have to use "tree" somewhere to respond to Flowox.
There's a tree in the meadow with a stream flowing by. And carved upon that tree I see, "I'll love you till I die."
I don't know how in the world you people can remember so much information about a song. I do well to remember some of the words much less the recording artist or artists, the label, the year it was popular, etc. Seriously, some of you really do have wonderful memories. Hope you aren't expecting that kind of information from this old gal though. LOL

I just died in your arms tonight....
Cocoseed, it's not past tense, but if no one else objects, I will connect with it your way, and use "tonight":
There'll be a hot time in the old town tonight!
sorry! I dont know any songs with the word DIE in it... if i did, i would think it would be a rather morbid song!
actually i do know of one song by an alternative band but most of the words besides DIE would have to be bleeped out on here!
Texas sand, drifting Texas sand
In the land down by the Rio Grande,
Sand in my coffee, sand in my tea
When I die they're gonna bury me,
Deep in that drifting, shifting Texas sand!
(song from the 40s, maybe by Tex Ritter, but I'm not sure, I edited to add more of the words, but am not certain of some. I was one of those children who heard song lyrics wrong.)
Was yours Reo Speedwagon?

Traffic
Sand in my shoes
Texas Sand was maybe done by Webb Pierce.
I have a mental blank for shoes as all I can think of is Dorothy and her red shoes in the Wizard of Oz. Not good for this however. I can do boots as in These boots are made for walking, but can't think of anything for shoes except "Blue Suede Shoes" and that still leaves us with the word shoes as the clue word.

Send me the pillow that you dream ON
On the road again...
Whitesnake
Here I am AGAIN on my own
The Platters singing:
A rose must remain with the sun and the rain
Or its lovely promise won't come true
To each his own, to each his own
And my own is you
Blood, Sweat & Tears
YOU made me so very happy
I'm the happiest girl in the whole usa! , or happy day's are here again
