Hi Everyone,
I wanted to post this to say that I really enjoy Dave's Garden. I dont do much posting of messages because I guess you would say that I am just a beginner at all of this. Although I have raised house plants for years (mostly the easy ones LOL) and have had few flowers and plants in the yard, just recently have gotten into all of this really heavy.( I think I said the same thing in my first post ) My DH is now teasing me that we wont have any room in the yard or the hillside to walk LOL
Since I have joined Dave's Garden I have been going over all the messages and have really learned sooooo much and I know I will learn even more through the years. I want to learn anything and everything I can.
I also want to thank Dave and Trish for taking the time to have this for everyone. You dont know how much it means to me to be able to go and read what all the nice and friendly people at Dave's have to say. Before, I would go through all kinds of searches to find out things but now I know that I can read things here or if I have a question I can post it and get an answer.
Hope that later on I will have seeds and cuttings to share ---- If my plants do good I should have more than enough :-)
Again thanks Dave and all the people at Dave's Garden.
Thanks Everyone
Gayl, your kind words and kind-heartedness certainly fit in here! As for posting, I sure hope you will...and ask questions also. (If some of us don't have an opinion or know the answer then it tends to prod us to find out...then we ALL get to benefit from it! It really works great, eh?)
As for you "not having anything to share"...It seems to me you're sharing already! I sure liked reading those words of yours. Much obliged.
Gayl what a lovely message! I think we all feel as you do about this site and about Dave and Trish. It really is rather like a family here! As for being new to 'heavy' gardening as you put it, we all were at one point and we have all made mistakes because that's what gardening is all about. I wish you much success and don't forget we are all here to help each other and that's the really fun part :-)
Gayl, I am glad you find it as wonderful as I do. How exciting it must be to be beginning a great adventure!Your DH will adjust to your new obsession. Mine isnt even embarassed anymore, when I make him pull over off the side of the road to see something! Now he looks for it too.
And the heck what people think. The Highway Patrol, passed me today , photographing , a wildflower. I didnt even, worry. Its obvious, I am enjoying the Flora.
I really enjoy , conversing with other gardeners, and sharing with you. My discoveries. And learning from you.
It is neverending. You will see something , all the time , that you have never seen before. You always be learning something , you had never known before. Welcome, and look forward to hearing more from you.
Thanks horseshoe,Louisa and Michele for all the kind words. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and maybe exchange a few ideas along the way. Also I am so excited about all that this summer is going to bring and all the things that I can learn. Just today, at work, I had ordered a dinner from the church and as I was eating all I could think of was how the container ,that part of the dinner was in, would make a nice little greenhouse to start seeds in :-) I guess I have gotten the bug really bad LOL
Gayl, what sweet words from an obviously very sweet lady! :)
Terri
Gayl,
You sure do fit in wonderfully here! Keep posting, we enjoy your company!
Trish
