Here we are at the Quilt Museum. We had such a great day! You can't take photos inside of the quilts because of copyright laws, but the stained glass windows are made to look like the masterpiece quilts inside.
It was a chilly day for KY in May,but we had such a good warmth of friendship,it seemed toasty!
Meet Kathleen,Melissa and Me!
Boo-Hoo...I wanted to go and I was too late to catch ya'll! LOL Kathleen...can't you come back to round up? Jo
What a happy looking threesome!! Nice to meet the 'kid' too..... :-) Must have been cold though - sweaters no less!!
Hi ladies! Yall look like yall had lots of fun.
What a happy looking group. Glad you had a good time
Great to meet you! Looks like you enjoyed the day. Wish we could have all been there to enjoy it with you!
So great to see your lovely, smiling faces! I bet you had a great time. I stood on the side of 71, but they didn't stop for me. LOL Glad you got to visit. :)
So nice to meet you all and I know that you had a great time. I would love to see all the beautiful quilts they have there not to mention the fabric, I am a fabraholic.
If you make a quilt you must post a picture for me to drool over.
Great lookin' Trio!! I love that stained glass window of the museum.....and wouldn't a variation of that make a beautiful quilt??!!
"eyes"
Eyes...it actually IS a quilt. All of the stained glass windows in the museum are replicas of the prize winning quilts inside. They comissioned an artist to reproduce them in stained glass. It makes a unique front to the museum.
I should have asked this when I was there, but do they switch the windows around and put up different ones? With the collection of quilts that they have, they must be running out of windows to hang them in.
No,Kathleen, the windows stay the same. They have stained glass panels inside the lobby that are added to each time they want to do another window. That mwans that they are never removed, but more are added to the collection.
Nice to meet you all! I can tell by your happy smiles that you all had a wonderful visit. What city is this museum located in?
Paducah,KY Carol.....come by and I'll show you around!
