I met Kathleen today and her daughter Melissa. We had such a wonderful morning at the Quilt Museum and then we went to Hancock's to shop for fabric. This is us digging through the ends of the bolts.
Kathleen brought me some great antique roses and they are soaking in a nice drink of water after their long trip to KY.It seemed like we'd known each other for years and I really hope to do this again sometime.
I've gort a few more pics, and I'll post them over at the parking lot.
Me and Kathleen go fabric shopping
Wow it's great to see you both!
I love that fabric, did you buy any?
Mel! is that "our Kathleen"???! From Farm Life???!!!!
Two beautiful, happy ladies!! I would be happier than a pig in a wallow if we had a place to buy fabric in our town...besides the small selection at Wal-Mart. I do understand that there is a nice one in Crossville, so maybe during my trip to Round up I can "be selective" and get some for winter sewing projects. I'm so glad that you two had a lovely day! Jo
Yep,Lisa....the one and only! And yes Baa,we bought fabric.
My motto is...'she who dies with the most fabric wins!'
Mel, I am so jealous you got to meet Kathleen! Fun! fun! fun! So tell me, how did that happen, did Kathleen come to KY to see you? Isn't she a New Yawker? Wish I would have been there with yall.
At last, at last!!! I just know you both had a wonderful time!!! I'm so envious - I love material!!!!
You both look wonderful :~) I love going thru fabric! I have bunches I've bought for craft projects and never used it but one of these days....! LOL
Lana
P.S. I'm anxiously awaiting meeting Jo/roadrunner in July here in WV!
Lana me too, after you!! :-)
Awwww, what a great pic! NOW I know why Kathleen hasn't been replying to my emails, LOL! Looks like ya'll had a great time - thanks for capturing the moment for us to see you together :)
Wow How great to finally met you Kathleen and see you again Mel. What 2 great ladies. Looks like you had a blast.
Hehehe, yep, we did. We kept picking up the same fabrics and the same colors - what a great store Hancock's is! I bought enough for a quilt with a Japanese theme - dragons and bamboo and butterflies. Have to design it yet, but I've got a couple to finish first, so it will just have to simmer for awhile.
G_V, I will get back to you tomorrow, promise!
Hi Kathleen, nice to meet you! You girls look like you were having a great time.
Glad to see you made it home ok Kathleen. It was such a fun time. Wish everyone could come by here at one time or another.
Lisa,Kathleen's daughter,Melissa lives a little less than an hour from here. When she came down to visit her,we hooked up in Paducah.
It was uncanny how we were able to pick out the same fabric..we both love the same colors...and Kathleen...you're gonna have to tell how you resisted going home without all that flannel that you had your eye on!
I am so jealous, darn! Buying fabric is right up there on the top of my list, I can never have enough.
It is nice to meet you ladies and I am sure you had fun. I'll see you all in the parking lot to see if I can fanagil you out of some of the fabric lol(hope I spelled that right)
