Severe storms tonite!

I'm having to close down puter because of severe storm warnings tonite! I will see ya'll tomorrow!

I still have a blanket and pillow in the bathroom from our tornado warnings earlier. Still lots of thunder, so I'm leaving everything where it is.

Oh no!! I hope the worst of it misses you Rebecca. Be very vigilant and try to go to a safe place. God protect you and others too!! Please post when you can!!

Hey ya'll...so far so good must have went around us! I think the worst will be later tonite...I hate it when it storms at dark and you really can't see anything but lightning flashing!

We really needed the rain though...our ground had started cracking it was so dry!

Rebecca, I just saw this, so glad to get to the end of it and see that you are okay. Use whatever you need of the nitrogen produced by the storm, and the water, and then send any excess on to me. I hate having to water at all, but this early is ridiculous.

Tornado warning in West Tennessee tonight. I was talking to vols on the phone when the warning was issued. Once again, no rest for the weary here in the South.

How ominous Dave!! I hope you and everyone else came through the storms unscathed. Looks as though we are in for another humdinger tomorrow!! Just wish these storms would come in the daytime hours so we can watch the skies!! According to the forecast, Maryland is going to be in the line of fire yet again and still many folk without electricity :-(

We had some very heavy winds (at least for here - it was reminiscent of living in Oklahoma, LOL!) last night/early morning, and lots of rain; another system is on its way later today or tonight.

At least I got my co-op daylilies (thanks Julie!!!) planted yesterday morning (they got a good soaking last night) and my asparagus bed completely filled in (I've been gradually filling it as the plants grew.) I have lots more plants that need to go out, and some new beds that need to be dug - looks like they'll have to wait a few more days at least.

Just rain and wind here.Lots of thunder and lightning,but nothing close. I'm not complaining,but my ground is soaked again and I STILL haven't planted my tomatoes yet!

Here we go again!! Already closed down once and now a tornado watch. I'm watching the skies!! How's it going guys - everyone OK??

I want that rain! I watered for several hours today, and then the sky clouded up and the wind blew, but not a drop of rain. It was unbelievably dry for April, and May is usually a rainy or stormy month but looks like it might not happen this year. Again!

Believe it or not, Aimee, we haven't had rain up here in Seward for quite awhile. The ice and snow are almost gone in most places, except the push piles. We had strong winds the during the night, and we had more gusts today (it's still the 2nd of May here). It's all melted off in town, and these high winds toss dust around like a rug beater!

Aimee: You can have it! My weather radio was singing all evening again yesterday, as it likely was for everyone else in TN/KY/VA/etc.

Amiee, we are in a serious drought also. I hope you guys are all staying safe up there.

Phew!! Were we ever lucky!!! Dave, saw the lines coming your way. Dinstinctly bowed!! Nasty stuff but we were spared again except for a few scattered storms but much needed rain. Not everyone had such a good day!!

Amiee, same thing happened here couple of hours from here to Atlanta they are getting plenty of rain but nothing for us.
