Important , especially for Newbies!

When you send a Package or SASE to someone on DG, It is very important to include your DG name and lable what the item is. Recently I received a pkg from someone with some beautiful cuttings, problem is, I didn't recognize the cuttings or the person's real name and did not include the DG name. I vaguely recognized the address, but couldn't recall the DG name. This is partly my fault, I should have put it on my Trade-Tracker but this time I didn't and it was an SASE. When we do a lot of trades or SASE requests, it can be very confusing.

With Daves help. I was finally able to thank the person properly!

That's such a good point, Azalea! I think I'll make up address labels which have my full name, followed by my DG name and then my address, just so I never forget, either.

Flowox made me some really cute address labels with the usual information and then my email addy. You can get her to put whatever information you want on them and order whatever quantity you think you need. Since I use my own name here, I didn't need a special name label, but my email is a different name from DG name. If I send something and someone doesn't know who it's from, they have an email addy handy to notify me the package came. And she has thousands of graphics to choose from, so you can get a page of this, a page of that, for different situations. She doesn't stop until you are happy with it, either!

Sounds like a good idea for all of us here, I have received seeds and don't know how to plant them or which garden club or whom they came from.

No, Mark it wasn't you - at least not to me. BTW, did you get your pkg yet from me I think I sent it about the 8th!! And they told me 4 - 7 days - airmail!

Thank you for posting this Azalea. It's great for newbies and a nice reminder for others. I don't always label what I send as well as I ought to. (note to self...label everything clearly).

Yes, it's neat that Flowox has found a niche doing those. I do my own, but I know there's lots of folks who would love her stuff. They're very handy and she's good at design work. :)

While we're on the subject of newbies, (I am one) I just got back from the USPS. I asked for Priority postage in the amount of $2.95 as I was instructed by the person sending me a plant. The clerk informed me that the minimum Priority postage amount for under 1lb is $3.50. So I got it. Did I ask for the right thing?
Thanx, Cecelia

yes, priority postage is 3.50 for first pound, 3.95 for 2 lbs and up.

Mark did you send me some Anagalis seeds?

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

I always put my address to the left up corner of the envelope. If the letter won't get wheren it should I get it back! It has happened me only once though.. And I think it's pretty easy to guess who is the eltter from when yous ee Suomi-Finland in the stamp ;)
