How are you related??

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Often times I see in the post that some of you are related to one another. My sister "use" to be here but did not join :( but I know there are alot of you that do have sister's, brother's and mom's all on here... So who are you related to here???? I mean "really" related to, b/c I do feel like you all are my family just not blood related.

"down the Shore", NJ(Zone 7a)

Tamlamb and I are cousins, but trace our common ancester back to 1790... Probably I am more closely related to more of you, but just haven't found that link yet. Mollybee, I do agree, I also feel like part of a family here. John

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

My daughter, weedwalker (who never gets on DG anymore due to busy schedule (?)...), My sister, MaryK is now a member, 3 first cousins: Ginlyn, Sgtdot, and LizH (actually, LizH is married to my 1st cousin....brother to ginlyn and sgtdot, BUT...MaryK is married to LizH's brother....following me so far? LOL

Georgiaredclay found a connection between our families through the sister of Daniel Boone....and he also found connection to Mystic. While in Florida this year I was looking through Sami's family tree and found a connection between her and GRC....so I guess that makes my best friend of 24 years "kin" to me too!!! WHEW!!! Lots of kin folk on here...guess I'll have to behave! Jo

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

My Mom is DJM906 which I guess you all know by now. I think one of the things she is missing most in the hospital is not being able to get online and check in here!

(Zone 5a)

Momcat tell her well all miss her and hope she gets to leave the hospital soon.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Momcat, be sure and keep her updated on all the happenings here, and maybe that will be enough to tide her over until she can get out of the hospital and be well enough to get back here with us!
Sending well wishes her way!

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Well I guess Zany and I have the same birthday and I think we are identical twins. LOL Well, maybe not identical. Well, maybe not related. We both just like Karaoke.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

I got myself adopted, but am not sure by whom. But I think it made me kin to Jo, or if not, I am going to claim as much. And Louisa must, absolutely must, be kin, as we had some ancestors from England. Then there is Imaseedpicker, from Alabama. I know we had some ancestors not too far from her there, and being it is in the deep south, you know there was some mixing it up going on. I learned that one of my great granddads was born in Bay City, Michigan, and his folks moved there from Saginaw and New York, so there is some connection there. I think they had some Irish and Indian blood, but it seems lots of people claimed to be Scots instead. One of my daughters and her daughters and my great grandsons live in Tennessee, and that daughter was a Gilbert. Her ancestors are buried in Tennessee even! Then there is a bunch that came from Kentucky on wild ponies, who knows who they left behind. In Arkansas, you can't shake a cedar tree without one of my mother's cousins falling out, and in Louisiana and Mississippi, it's as bad. With all our big families and men having many wives with children, I am probably related to all of you. Now, there is a scary thought.

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Well Aimee if you're kin to Jo and I'm kin to her also. Well howdy cousins Aimee.

Crossville, TN

Jim....now cousin, ain't we pert nigh the luckiest things...to have Aimee fall out of our tree??? (or is that fall INTO....Oh well...just so glad to have her!!) "cousin" Jo

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Well, if half of you are related to Jim and I am his non identical but wonderful non the less tein, then I must be related to half of DG too! I always wanted a big family! The
more relatives the more people to mooch from...

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

LOL ya'll are sooo funny.

Circleville, OH(Zone 8b)

Well no blood kin that I knows of. But I'll claim ya'll anyhoo.

Mike

Jesteburg-Wiedenhof, Germany(Zone 8a)

Aimeé,
Now I read that you live in Williamson County, and that just happens to be a Scottish name, (Williamson, not county), and I just happen to be called Williamson too. So there, we're not only related, we're neighbours!!! TARAAAAA!!
'Scuse me Missus Aimeé could I borrow a wee cup of sugar for my tea??

Nice to see you back

Wintermoor

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Why Mike you know we consider you to be one of our brothers! In fact I really don't think you have any choice here lol

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, Wintermoor, come on in the house and I will sweeten your tea with the local honey. How about that name coincidence! It seems to pop up regularly in my scene, too, has for many years. I shall refresh my memory about the good man who caused it to be so prominent here. Georgetown, of course, is a different matter, and very nearly wasn't the county seat because of their conflicting politics. But enough about this quaint little town, sit a spell and tell me more about the moors.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Well, I was chatting with Jo and found out we have an uncommon name in common(following this so far?) so we must be cousins too. If she is related to half of you, then surely I've got a few relatives here too.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

LOL Cala, I'll claim ya as my kin! lol

Crossville, TN

SUSIE! How could I have forgotten to include you in my illustrious list of Lineage? Forgive me? I must blame it on AGE!! Folks,,,,,CALALILY IS MY KIN TOO!!! (redeemed?) Jo

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Me to Susie. Gosh ya'll I'll have to start a new family tree.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Hee hee, I better get Christmas cards this year and don't forget my birthday!!
