Aimee???

Anybody seen Aimee lately or have I just missed her postings?

She sent me an email message today. She's around somewhere. :)

She's alright, she's been a bit tired lately is all :)

Yes we are still in touch and I had mail from her this morning. She's tired and a little unwell!! Knowing Aimee she keeps a lot of her pain to herself!! Sure miss her when she's not here though!!

Yep, got an e-mail from her yesterday, too. Said the same as everyone else's. I guess she didn't want us to send the cops to her place, so made sure someone knew and would tell! *grin* I hope she catches up no her rest and feels better soon.

Glad to hear she is resting.....y'all didn't think I was gonna do paybacks.....did ya Linda???

Yep, Jerrie! If you didn't I would have! She would have left herself wide open, right? LOLOL! Seriously, not just for a lark, but to make sure she was okay. But I've got her number now and address, so we won't have to call out the troop(ers) next time. ;-)

Tee-hee! If someone sicked the cops on me, the rumour mill will make sure the entire town would know about it in 30 minutes. ;-) I'm a big target for gossip ~ not only am I one of the original families of locals (4th generation here), but also the mayor! Kind of anyway ~ our own little "Boss Hogg" tried to make a city out of this area last year. I was vehemently against it, so ran for mayor to make sure that IF the vote passed to become a city, there was someone in the city govt. that wasn't in Boss Hogg's pocket. It was a hoot ~ my campaign platform was "Vote against what will make me mayor!" We won! There isn't a city and I was elected "the mayor of the Unincorporated Village of Spicewood"! ROTFLOL!

Neat story Wingnut! I love it. If someone called the cops to come look for me, they would probably get DH on the phone so you could just ask him where I was. LOL

Yeah, it was fun, JoanJ ~ I was in all the papers and on TV even! All the reporters thought it was too funny that I was against the very thing that would make me mayor! LOL!!! Is your DH on the police force? A dispatcher? Or is yours just a REEEALLY small town? *grin*

LOL Wingnut! Wellll...My DH is the county sheriff and it is a real rural county. Not exactly small, but very rural. We don't even have a real town in the county. Everybody knows everybody else. In fact, if I don't go to work one day, I get phone calls to see if I'm sick or something, 'cuz my car is still in the yard. When people go on vacation, we have been known to water and feed dogs, cats, chickens and what not all! Only in a small community will that happen.

I'm also the county treasurer, so between DH and I we kiss a lot of babies every four years. That's not a big problem here though, since lots of those babies are related to us somehow.

You gotta love rural America!

Dang! I think Aimee's thread got hijacked somehow. I hope she gets back soon to straighten it out!

Anybody know what county she lives in? I have connections. LOL

JoanJ, I just saw Aimee post about an hour ago on the "Tera's in Trouble" thread on the Prayer forum, so she's back! Oh, I love your story, too!!!!! I'll remember that if you ever "go missing"! LOL! I'll bet you two DO kiss a lot of babies! And get cramps in your hand-shaking arms! LOLOLOL!!! Sounds just like what home here in Burnet County used to be. Now that Austin's become the "new silicon valley" there's a LOT of newcomers.

You rang? Geez, Eyes, now I know how you must have felt. Hunted down by a posse, indeed! Hey, I live in Williamson County, Texas, the meanest county in the whole darn country. Only here could the Texas Rangers be intimidated. Only here does the bicycle tour mark the routes with pistols. And only here would my lawyer describe me as "meaner than an acre of snakes", and not even think it was harsh. Now, you rang? At your service, my dears.

Whew! Aimee!!!! We was worried about you girlfriend! Glad to see you back and posting again.

Good to be missed by such good friends. Old clumsy me fell and had to take a little time to patch up. And I am really feeling spring fever, the part that makes you sooooo tired. But I am like "eyes", just away for a bit and then here I come roaring back. Can't keep me out of the garden long, bruises and falls or not. I do mean to have a little chat with the tail gate of that truck, though. Imagine it just dumping me out into the pasture in the cold rain!

Tenacious and tough!!! You just can't keep a good gal down for long!!! You know how happy I am to see you posting again!! :-)
