Trade List Help

Hi Dave or Trish or GV or which ever kind soul will help me. LOL I have a question. A few weeks ago I printed out the tutorial and I'm not sure what I did with it. Anyway, my question. Where did I miss the part on how you mark your items for trade as plants, seeds, bulbs, etc? I thought I had the hang of it, entered a bunch of stuff, but now notice my entries don't say seed or plant. I need to add a bunch of plants. Help please??

I just looked at some other people's trade lists and they all have a 'Category' heading on their trade lists. It would appear I have skipped a step or something. Oh no!

You have categories in which to work. Some of the categories are under the "Seeds" area, and some are under the "Plants" area.

You have stuff all through your seeds categories, but none through your plants categories.

So here's what to do:

Go to your Trade List edit page (front page of your trade list). Scroll to the bottom and look at the categories. One section is for plants and the other section is for seeds. Click on the plants areas to add stuff there.

Okay I did that. I added a perennial in the plant area. If I pull up my trade list though, I have to go to 'view' to see that it is a plant. If I go to your page, then your trade list, then your 'have to trade' grid, you have a category column where I can see what form you have to trade. I don't have that column. Why? What did I miss? Am I making sense? I promise, I have cut way back on the peroxide!!!

Are you talking about the White Yarrow? It's showing up for me when I view your tradelist! Looks like you did it correctly.

I went to your member page, clicked on your trade list, clicked on "Available for Trade Only" and there it is at the bottom of the page. (Alphabetically, yarrow is at the bottom)

Yeah, but if you look, I have it listed twice. It does not say if it is plants or seeds. You have to click on 'view' on the right to see that one is plants for trade and the other is seeds for trade. Why don't I have a category column, so you can tell if I have plants or seeds or bulbs, without having to view every entry??

Badseed: You /do/ have a category column. You're probably still looking at your edit page.

Try clicking on your username right here in this thread (in the left column of your post).

Then click on your tradelists and go from there. That's the "External view" that everyone ELSE sees, and the categories are indeed present on that page.

Giggling. I am smart enough to load in my info and too dumb to read it. LOL See, all you had to do was make me see the light. Argh! So, offer still stands. Did you get any white Siberian Iris yet or would you like some?? Let me know.

D'oh! LOL -- You're ahead of me Michele. I have not tried to use the trade tracker yet!

I'd love to have white siberians. I have purples and would love to make a trade, if that's acceptable. Shoot me an E-mail and let's take it from there.
