Hi all,
My son will be graduating on May 24th from Central HS in San Angelo. I am NOT familiar with the area at all down there. I need to know a few things:

1. Where is a reasonable place to stay for a couple of nites?

2. We will be flying into Dallas/Ft Worth then from there flying to San Angelo's Airport. I will need to get a rental car also. Got any ideas?


3. How far is it from the airport in San Angelo ( I need an address for the airport) to Central HS?

4. Any additional info would be more than greatly appreciated. This is a first time fly for my 5 y o daughter. I have flown before.
Just to let you know I am a country girl thru and thru... i don't like driving in traffic, however something tells me i will get to...

Well, Yellow Rose, you and me are in the same boat. *GRIN* I live about 100 miles from San Angelo and I couldn't tell you much about the place, but I did find some good links when I went Googling. I don't know of anyone else who's here that lives in or close, either. :-( But here are the few links that might help:

San Angelo ISD website - Central High page (no map that I could find, but you might could e-mail someone and ask): http://www.saisd.org/schools/schooldisplay.asp?school_id=1

San Angelo Chamber of Commerce website: http://www.sanangelo.org/ and a page from that site with business listings (might find a rental car company and hotel in there?): http://rol.irm-systems.com/cgi-shl/foxweb.exe/rol/rol?ac=cl&id=txsancoc

San Angelo Airport page (From the City of SA website): http://www.sanangelotexas.org/citydepts/airport.shtml

And a page called "San Angelo InfoNet" ~ don't know what it is, but with a name like that, I thought you could use it LOL! http://www.sanangelo.net/

If you can find an address on these websites for the High School and airport, you might could find directions via mapquest.com or yahoo maps. A better way to figure all this out might be to call the Chamber of Commerce, or atleast e-mail them and tell them what you need. They are notoriously helpful!
