Is it to hot to plant

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

mater's? LOL Almost to hot to plant anything not because of the plant but because of the gardener not being able to stand the heat.

I planted some heirlooms this morning and hope I protected them enough!! The shrubs and perennials that went into the ground two day's ago are doing OK!! But know what you mean Jim!! I did go out this morning but not for long and had to drag DH in - silly man!!

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

Yep, I know how your DH feels! I can't stand to be stuck in this house! Even it is 98* out there. Been out since around 10 this morning, but don't worry I come in often for a cold drink ;)

I just phoned my sister in Utah!! She's been without power for two days because of snow and blizzard. The lines came down in 60 miles an hour winds!! I think the high there today is only going to be about 45. And she's just moved from Arizona!!!! Talk about shock tactics!!

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Not putting anything in the ground in this heat. Put my seedlings out on the hot tub. It is closed in and the heat got to them in there. I'll give it another two weeks because I know how fickle MD can be. We could still have another frost LOL!

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

Aawwww haighr, I feel for you way up there :(

No chance of frost here south of Baltimore by the Bay now :)

Hempstead, TX(Zone 8b)

i can't believe you up north are hotter than tx. we only hit 85 today. yes that is hot once you add the humidity. BUT i sure would rather be hot than cold. i will not complain about the heat i will not complain about the heat. but i will complain about stupid horse reaching over my fence to eat my tree that was doing so well. i think it is a glue factory offence almost. :(

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

We're breaking records up here. It was 90 today and that sure is a shock to the body when it was used to temps in the 20's just last week. It's 60 degrees right now and the end of the week it's going back to the 30's at night.Had shorts on today and now in a few days I'll be wearing my coat again. The weather has been very strange this past winter and spring.
