I am drooling as I read this thread for the first time. Since I have seen so little of Europe, all of it is foreign to my mind. I wish someone of us had sent you more memory sticks earlier. What a shame to be there and run out of photo capability. But you will return, and you will surely take photos of everywhere you missed the first trip. Meanwhile, have a grand holiday, see all of the plants of other parts of the world, and snitch a few seeds when you can. Happy birthday to your mom. She is so fortunate to make this trip while she is still young.

Evert, here's hoping you have found an Internet cafe. I am sure someone will keep popping this back up to the top.

Hello and greetings from the Czech Republic! =)))) Great fun here is a pc on the hotel... and the hotel is great. I dyed my hair to a little more blonde colour. I have taken lots of photos and seen many nice countries and it was so cheap everywhere / except Vienna. I've sent cards to many people, so watch your mailbox.. I really liked Hungary and Slovakia and Austria but it was so hot there it is here too. About +37 C in shade! Awful. Hate beeing in sun here, hehehe.. Vienna subway system was great, all different than Helsinki. I want to move to Hungary or Slovakia when I am older, much better places than Finland. >D

I collected lots of Pulsatilla seeds in Latvia, anybody want them? The forest near sea was full of them... I was so happy =D

Now I will answer some emails.. have a nice time there.

Evert, I would so love some pulsatilla seeds. Did you get to see them in bloom to know the colors? No matter, just curious, as I love all of the colors and types. Maybe I can trade you some of my wild ones for some of your wild ones. Let me know when you are ready! So jealous, but so happy you are enjoying your trip. What a fabulous experience for you!

We made a little longer trip than we first decided. I wanted to Visit Luxemburg and Netherlands too... SO we drove there from Czech. Visited in France too, but just shortly by motorway. In Czech we weren't in Prague ;)

Now I have to "unpack" :}

Welcome home, Evert! I just got your postcard from Vienna yesterday, so it's kind of weird to see you back already. ;) But I'm glad you all made it back safe and sound. Did your mother enjoy her birthday?

It takes pretty long for mail to come to US... I wonder why there was so high postages somewhere for cards. And it was always more expensive to send them to areas outside europe. Here it costs 60 cents for cards sent anywhere. No matter in europe or not. And 50 cents by economy mail.

Hmm, well, I think she enjoyed it, we got some sparkling wine and german cherry pie for her in the morning of her birthday.
