spring is sprunging

Lewis Center, OH(Zone 6a)

wow, i sure love spring. this morning was especially nice, what with the birdies chirping and flitting about building nests. i sat outside for a little while just soaking in the sounds and smells. a nice cool gentle breeze kept going in and out, carrying along the most excellent scent of grilled hamburgers! oh my goodness! i wondered why someone was making hamburger for breakfast, but it smelled so good that i didn't care! and now i want to run out and get my own hamburger to fix!

here's a link to some pictures i took with gardenwife's handy dandy digital camera. she is still sleeping, by the way! the picture below is the courtyard area behind my apartment. http://davesgarden.com/editgj/viewentry.php?rid=13952

pangie I would kill for that grass!! It looks so fresh and, well.......green!! You do have a nice view!! Know what you mean about Spring though!! It's Summer here, in the upper 80s and the a/c is on!! Too hot, too soon but the morning are wonderful and I love to sit on the cat porch drinking in the morning and the sounds. Glorious!!

Louisa, do you know why they call washington the evergreen state? because everything is green, sure the grass is always green, it rains all the time, and it doesnt stop long enough for it to dry out so it can be mowed. It is gray and wet out today :(

Pebble, in the upper 80s here!! Did housework instead of gardening. After three day's of hard slog, couldn't face another day outside especially with the heat!! Everything comes to he who waits :-)

It was hot here today, too! It wasn't too bad in the shade, but in the sun it was uncomfortably so. We're supposed to get up to 86 tomorrow, too. I will probably close up the house in the morning after having the fan pull the night air through all night....Hey, wait, morning for us is 10am or so, and it's already getting hot by then. Oh noooooooo!

Noooo thank you. Last night we could not get the wonderful 60-degree temps pulled through the house because our box fan died. We bought two fans today!

by the way, yes we have no box fans at meijer as of yet. everybody's comin' in to buy 'em though!
