Someone stole Budda

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

We had a very large Budda that sat in are garden. He was about 3 1/2 feet tall and as big around and he was taken out of my flower garden yesterday. People should learn to keep their hads off of things that don't belong to them. He was so cute sitting there watching the flowers and things in the garden.

ooo that sucks i pitty the person that stole him. way bad karma

I know what you mean, last spring my mom in law put angels on my brother in laws grave and someone even stole them. now thats bad!

Honi, I am so sorry! I can truly identify with you, as I have known people to drive in off the highway and take things right from my front yard. It's unfortunate that we have to even lock things up in the cemetery, but the first bronze vase I had on my daughter's grave was stolen. Insurance covered it, but it really hurt to go there and feel like she was lying there unprotected. I will never understand how people live with themselves, and I have to think they will pay dearly. I am not so virtuous as to be comforted by that, as I want to watch them pay!

Edited.

Why don`t you sent a photo to your local newspaper and tell everyone what happened. It may get brought back to you. Everyone will know it when they see it and the person that stold it will not be able to get rid of it nor will they be able to display it without being found out. Hope you get it back soon.

An Oriental restaurant in town had a pair of lions guarding the entrance, and one of them was stolen. Several months later, someone reported it had been found in the river, damaged but reparable. It was presumed that frat boys did it, as that was typical of some of their stunts that time of year. An exterminator in Austin had a huge rotating bug on top of his building for many years, and it was regularly stolen by frats. He finally wired it to give a little shock to anyone who didn't know where the switch was. Of course, the UT mascot, a large bull named Bevo, was/is stolen annually just before the game between Tx. A&M and UT. And somehow one faculty member's little dog got into the traditions for a few years. Often these things are supposed to be harmless pranks, youth not understanding the emotional trauma such can cause. A well planned publicity effort might inspire them to bring it back, or maybe the prank involves getting it back. Many relieved owners have not questioned the reasons but enjoyed the happy ending. I hope your "thief" is such that you will awaken to find old Buddha right there where he belongs very soon.
