butterfly-attracting plants

I have an internet friend (not in a gardeing site) that wants to know the names of some coomonly found plants that attract butterflies. Any suggestions? (please include the common name).

Palmyra, VA(Zone 7a)

Many of the passion vines (Passiflora) are host plants for butterflies.

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Phacelia, Trifolium, Melissa, Hyssopus, & Borago + other herbs.

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Asclepias, Lantana and Buddleia

Elizabethton (Stoney, TN(Zone 6b)

Butterfly bush and zinnias.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

thanks for your help so far folks. Poppysue, I didn't see the chart you mentioned; where is it?
by the way, were you the other person that wanted some gourds and some ajuga? I had a major computer crash and had to have windows stripped out and reloaded and lots of software too, so I lost who wanted them.

For the larvae of swallowtail-plant parsley; for the monarch-butterfly weed or milkweed; for the butterflies-mine like the purple coneflower, butterfly bush, phlox, sedum. When I visited in Idaho, the yellow swallowtails were swarming around a bush they called "dogbane"
